Merry Christmas Y'all 🎄I hope you all have THE best Christmas and New Year, you all deserve it.
I want to say I will see you all in 2023........sadly I will no longer be officially childminding as from 2nd January.
I have really enjoyed looking after ALL of your precious children and now enjoy seeing them grow and progress in their life journeys. I'm so excited for your futures because you are all uniquely brilliant and I couldn't be more proud.

How fast has this year summer holidays gone?!? Seeing as we spent almost two years locked up, 6 weeks will be nothing I guess!

Anyway, it was forest school day for us yesterday. With thanks to Little Foxes Forest School
I love forest school as the children are able to create, make safe choices and be themselves.
After forest school it was lunch and play in the park.
We must have walked a good 3 miles.

Although World Book Day has passed, we didn't get to celebrate it.
Here we are at Rudyard Kipling's home, Bateman's in Burwash. The children loved the artworks of The Jungle book.
There was also an Easter trail where we leaned a lot about the grounds/Spring and Rudyard Kipling's poems.

When was the last time you let the children risk assess?

The urge to parent hover is such that children often miss out on opportunities to assess their own safety and what their own limits are (I've been guilty of it), what they are comfortable doing and what they are not comfortable doing.

So proud of these today they all tackled 'The Second bomb crater hill' in Angley Woods (a childhood haunt of mine) and bossed it👍

***All areas were checked before climbing and the amount of leaves made for an awesome soft landing if needed.....which it wasn't 😁***
