We are two weeks into the summer break. And here is the early years educator team, in relaxed mode, just enjoying one another’s company and the parched meadow on a beautiful, sunny day.

For the past year we have applied our minds to the issue of the healthiness of food that we serve. We committed to removing ultra-processed foods from the menu. We changed from whole milk to gold top whole milk from Guernsey cows, which is the best for brain development. Now, we have considered the quality of water served for drinking, and we have installed a top-ranking water filtration system to remove chemicals and microplastic particles.

We have come to the end of a wonderful year at Mr Noah’s.
How hard it is to say farewell to those making the transition to primary and prep schools. We shall be thinking of you all.
The next school year begins on Thursday, 3rd September. There is more joy to come!

What a wonderful graduation fayre! The children excelled themselves.
Thank you to the parents who planned and organised stalls and refreshments that made a tremendously enjoyable event.

Amidst the heatwave, it was so encouraging to have visitors associated with Puss in Boots Nursery School.

Thank you to our wonderful staff who are making it work in the second heatwave of the year. Tonight felt airy, but in the shade on the plat, which is something of a heat trap, the highest temperature recorded during the day was 41.3°C. We were so grateful for a figure 10° lower in the woods.

It was great to have a sunny day for sports this year, but happily it was before the height of the heatwave. Look at today’s maximum temperature. People ask how we cope outdoors in the cold winter months. That’s no problem in comparison with summer highs - 40.5C !!!
