Parents & carers, did you know that in 2022-2023 there were more than 50,000 recorded cases of knife crime in England & Wales? Perhaps even more shockingly, almost 20% of offenders were between 10 and 17 years old (stats from UK Parliament Research Briefing, 2023).

If you need advice, Northumbria Police have produced this handy e-leaflet. You can always speak to your child's school for advice, too.

Remember - those who carry knives face the most risk of injury from their own weapon
