You will receive an invite to join & a letter to explain the process. The After school seesaw will be used to provide better communication with our After school parents i.e reminders, announcements & letters 🤩

On behalf of our amazing PTA we would like to thank everyone far and near who helped us with our Cash for Kids NI schools challenge.

We are completely blown away by the support and generosity of all who donated to our school.

We raised £25,842 which put us in 3rd place. This means we will receive an additional £2000.

Thanks to all the members of the PTA who worked so hard to raise this much needed money for our school.

We have a big thank you we need to make.... to a camera shy Christopher Hannon! We have photographed his dad Paul instead!

Our sincerest thank you to our past pupil Christopher who very generously donated a massive 150 pumpkins to our recent sell out event. We are EXTREMELY grateful!

Christopher is dad to school pupils Charlie (P1) and Ruby (P3) and husband to our PTA member Cecilia.

Paul also needs a big thank you too because he sourced the pumpkins and transported them back to the lough shore.

This gesture was much, much more than we could ever have hoped for when we began planning this family fundraising event!

⭐️Cash For Kids Schools Challenge ⭐️

We are delighted to let you all know that the Friends of Derrymore PTA has been chosen to take part in the “Cash For Kids Schools Challenge” and we need your help!!! 🥳

Our school needs new ICT equipment and we would greatly appreciate your support with our fundraising drive! 💻

We're in with the chance of winning one of three Cash for Kids NI top up grants! The first prize is a £5000 top-up grant, 2nd prize = £3000 and 3rd prize = £2000.

We have four weeks to raise as much money as possible - the official fundraising period begins next week on Monday, 2nd October 2023 at 8am until Friday 27th October 2023 to 4pm.

Any money raised during this time will be transferred by us onto the Friends of Derrymore PTA’s unique Cash For Kids fundraising page on the ‘Giving Is Easy’ fundraising platform. (There will also be an online link made available next week for donations too.)

We will keep you all updated on our fundraising total throughout the month. After the competition, all money raised will be granted back to us by Cash for Kids so that we can buy our new ICT equipment.

Two events have been organised to help us raise as much money as we can: a Pumpkin Patch in October and a Table Quiz in November.

Tickets go on sale on Monday morning via our Teachers2Parents app on a first come, first served basis.

It’s been a busy summer in Little Acrons. When creating our 5 year plan for LA, one of our main objectives was moving with current practice, and adopting a Hygge/Reggio approach, introducing a relaxing, spacious and natural environment for the children ☁️

As you can see, we have introduced lots of light wood, created an open floor plan, added lots of greenery and added more natural colours to the room 🪴

I wanted to say a BIG thank you to our committee for all their support with this project and for all the amazing fundraising they plan, organise and run- we couldn’t have done this without all their hard work. I also want to thank the staff for all their hard work, in helping to create this amazing environment 🤍

A BIG thank you also goes to all our parents/the community. We are always striving to put back into Little Acorns, to create the best provision, environment and experiences for the kids - thanks to your generosity and endless support we have been able to do just that! ❤️

We can’t wait to see what the future holds, here’s to another fabulous year 🥳
