Our P4 pupils had a World War II day and were able to take part a variety of activities and wear some of the clothes from the time. It was a great day and very worthwhile in supporting the learning that had taken place in the classroom. Thank you to the Active Learning Company for running the workshop.
Online Safety – Easter Holidays 2022
As parents, we need to have open and honest conversations with our children about the dangers
that may be online.
When our children go outside to play, we ask who they are playing with and what they are doing.
We need to consider doing the same thing for when our children engage online.
Are they speaking to somebody within a game or on social media that is a genuine friend of theirs,
or is it an adult impersonating a child to try and groom your child in some way?
Alongside Parenting NI, PSNI have made a video for how parents can talk to their
children about what they are doing online.
A big well done to all the boys and girls who won Mathletics certificates in March. Especially the P3 pupils who were achieved a silver and to Amelia, Lauren and Ava who won a gold.
Congratulations to all our pupils who won merit certificates for March.
A big well done to P5 pupil Comhan who achieved ‘Millionaire’ status in his Accelerated Reader. This is fantastic achievement as he has reached one million words in the school year so far.
Some photos from our trip to Celtic.
Our Lenten Walking Challenge
Yesterday was an absolutely brilliant day for our P6 & 7 pupils, who enjoyed a fabulous trip to Glasgow! Weather and football results just happened to be amazing, as were all our pupils, whose behaviour was exemplary, even with all the excitement.
Huge thanks to our wonderful staff, without whom none of this would be possible, Miss McCooe, Mr O'Hara, Mr Rafferty, Mr Grimley, Mr Murphy, Mr McCourt and our P6 assistants Mrs J McDonald and Mrs C Thompson. Thanks to everyone involved and well done St. Brendan's!
All arrived at Celtic Park. Can’t wait for the match
We wish to offer our sincere condolences to the family of John Cochrane. Parent of our past pupils Chelsea, John and Catherine, and brother of our esteemed Chairperson of our Parent Support Group, Joanne McCann.

Today, we think of everyone connected with John and we will keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

May he rest in peace. St Brendan pray for him.
On Wednesday 30th March P5 received a welcome visit from the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service. The Safety team talked to the children about fire safety and each child was given a free pack to take home and share with parents/guardians. Many thanks to Noel and the team for getting the important message of fire safety across to the children!
Well done to Evie and Dylan who both achieved 'Millionaire' status for Accelerated Reader by reading over 1 million words this school year.

Well done to Comhan who played at half time of the Kerry v Tyrone match on Saturday. A great experience for him to play at Croke Park at such a young age, hopefully this is something he can do again in the future wearing the orange of Armagh.
