On Tuesday all pupils celebrated world mental health day by completing a sponsored walk around Gilford, stopping of at the park and enjoying a well earned hot chocolate on returned to school.
Thank-you to all parents for your generosity and support. An additional thank-you to the members of the parent support group who provided the hot chocolate for our pupils.

Meet our new Gilford P.S Eco-committee members. These pupils will be working hard to make our school a more eco-friendly environment. They have already sourced and distributed brown bins for every classroom. Keep up the hard work.

Pupils and members of the public have the opportunity to take part in the "Shoeboxes for Ukraine" appeal.
We want to help provide as many Ukrainian families as possible with a small gift this Christmas.
If you would like to take part, we ask all filled shoeboxes to be left into school by Thursday 9th November.

Key stage 2 enjoyed their first African drumming lesson this week. Thank you to the parent support group who organised the fundraiser to raise the money for the workshop.

Due to the predicted warm weather for tomorrow (Thursday) pupils will be able to wear a summer dress or their full school PE kit (T-shirt with the school badge and black PE shorts) instead of full school uniform.

School is back!
All staff are excited to welcome back our pupil's tomorrow morning for a new fun filled year at Gilford P.S.
Staff would like to make an extended welcome to all new pupils and parents who are starting with us for the first time tomorrow.

Another successful year at Gilford P.S. Pupils have made leaps forward in their education and had lots of fun experiences.
Some pupil’s highlights include, finishing 1ST in the Armagh, Banbridge, and Craigavon area schools in, ‘Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel’ event, developing our KS2 girls football team, KS2 trip to Shannaghmore Outdoor Centre, KS1 trip to Gosford Park, P5/6 trip to the Ulster Museum, P7 trip to Emerald Park and finally, our whole school Christmas visit to the pantomime.
All staff at Gilford P.S would like to wish all our pupils and their families a fun and safe summer. We look forward to having you back in September.

The whole school took part in our P7 leavers service. All participants sang and spoke very well. From all the staff at Gilford P.S we wish our P7 pupils a great summer and the best of luck moving on to the next chapter of their lives.

School Sports Day 2023:
Well done to all pupils who took part in sports day.
