Today we were delighted to welcome back MindWise, Bloom Training Associate, Mr Pat McGibbon, to present certificates to our Year 13 students on the successful completion of their Enrichment Programme around Mental Health and Wellbeing. The Bloom programme equips young people with the tools and knowledge to maintain their mental health through life’s transitions – such as moving through school, changing friendship groups, moving to university or starting employment.
Delivered through scenario-based discussion and relatable topics, such as ‘social pressures’ and ‘exam stress’, Bloom leaves young people with a better understanding of mental health in themselves and others. They will also possess a suite of tools they can deploy in ways which are right for their own mental health both now and in the future. Congratulations all!

Lets Train 2B Smart
In the age of Smart devices, its even smarter to remember that activity such as kicking a football ,cycling or a leisurely walk ⚽🚴♂️🚶♀️ , can allow our minds to wander and create opportunity for CREATIVITY , VISUAL NOTING and GROWTH of the smart part of our brain🧠
Science shows that in modern society, idle time is seen as counterintuitive and multi-tasking is prized. Yet, nobody is a true multitasker!!
You can always be writing more emails, clicking open more tabs, and attending more meetings. But that line of thinking goes against science. Whether its using a new app, tapping through, a social media post to like, or a notification to read, the more we switch our attention, the higher our stress levels go .
Taking part in mind-wandering leisure opportunity through activity allows us opportunity to day dream ( and visualise without realising that we're visualising!!) .
It gives us opportunity to DO and also wonder !!!
Now that's smart!!!!! 👏👏💪💪
