A big thanks to Andrew Law and the coaching staff from the 16s/18s and 20s at Ballymena United FC for the invitation to speak about my career within sport with Manchester United, Wigan Athletic and others and my work now within the area of mental health with Train 2B Smart . It was great to speak to the group about building leadership qualities such as effective communication and empathy to add to their technical and physical abilities.

A big thanks to FAIreland under- 19 manager Tom Mohan for the invitation to speak to the group at Blanchardstown today about my journey within football ⚽️, the pitfalls of professional sport, creating rounded identity and my current work within mental health for Train 2B Smart and others. It was great to see that Tom, ( who’s been a mate since our youth team days) appreciates the added value of pastoral care within sport. 👏👏

A big thanks to all at Ballyoran Fc 🔴⚪️⚫️for their hospitality on Friday night at their 50th anniversary dinner at the Glenavon House Hotel Cookstown. Bernadette Mcgibbon. great night had by all, thanks for the invitation to speak about my football journey and current work in the area of mental health with Train 2B Smart. It’s always great to see some of my teammates from my time playing. Brilliant to meet up and get a chat with Stephen Parkhouse from our Glentoran days 🟢🔴⚫️ , when I delivered a well-being workshop to the young people from the Manchester United Foundation at Derry this morning.
