The summer fun is well under way with our After Schools group- Lets get physical, time to relax and getting creative are some areas the children have been exploring. I cant wait to see what is planned for the incoming weeks.

Fun Friday in Junior Academy!!

Look who came to visit us ?

We just love Easter time at First Steps Junior Academy, we get to make lots of delicious chocolate treats!!

Look at all the amazing resources our two year old Junior children get to explore every day. Oh how I wish I was two again!!

After Schools spent the morning at Edenvilla Park over half term break. They had a brilliant time!!

Senior Academy had a fantastic time at Brookvale Farm in Dromore. Thank you Pamela and Richard for showing us around and for our delicious milkshakes!!

The use of sensory material creates hands on self directed and self-centred play, it encourages discovery and development. That's why we love it so much at First Steps.

It took a while, however Daisy Lodge have now received the money that we collected during our 50,000 steps challenge-walking steps as a family. They are delighted!! Thank you to everyone for your support with this event.

World Book Day is just around the corner- 3rd March 2022. At First Steps Junior Academy we cannot wait to dress up as a character from our favourite book.

Friday was a very cold day, but that didn't stop our Juniors from having fun in the snow!!

Wearing our Pyjamas to nursery today was so much Fun 😀 Wouldn't it be great if we could do it every day 🤔 😅

Today we are marking the festival of Diwali

Diwali is also known as the festival of lights and is celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and Buddhists
Celebrations include Diya lighting, puja, decorations, shopping, fireworks, fasting, gifts, feast and sweets

Tomorrow is PJ Day in First Steps. Children can wear their Pjs into the Nursery. If your child wants to bring in a Teddy make sure your child’s name is on it.

This week was Zara's last week. We are very sad that you have to leave, we will miss you. Thank you very much for your lovely gift.

It has been a busy Summer, not just for the children in the Nursery but the staff too. Over the Summer staff have completed courses in First Aid and Child Protection. During the Child Protection course we talked about Share Aware (Online Safety). If you would like to know more information on how to keep your child safe online you can find it on the NSPC website (Parents, please be advised to watch the videos first before allowing your child to view them).

Just a wee reminder tomorrow THURSDAY 19TH AUGUST 20121 is our Superhero Day. Dress up as your superhero this could be a nurse, doctor, superman/women... We are really looking forward to this in the Nursery. 😀

After Schools Summer Scheme is well under way and we are having great fun.

Remember boys and girls NEXT WEEK W.C. 9th AUGUST 2021 is your Olympic Week so make sure you bring your Sports Gear appropriate for the weather. 🌦

SUPER HERO DAY in First Steps - Thursday 19th August 2021- Everyone welcome to dress up, you can dress up as anything 'Not All Heroes Wear Capes'.

Well done Ollie!!!! Ollie has nearly reached a QUARTER OF A MILLION STEPS to raise money for Daisy Lodge. Ollie has walked around Craigavon Lakes, Tannaghmore Gardens and Lurgan Park.
