Coronavirus COVID-19
17 March 2020
As of now, 17 March 2020, the First Class Learning centres at Harrow, Hayes Town, Oxford and Uxbridge are planning to remain open. We recognise that these are challenging times with the Coronavirus but for now we are carrying on with “business as usual” in line with UK Government advice, whilst implementing sensible measures & precautions. The health and welfare of all children is naturally at the heart of our business.
Measure for our centres:
• On arrival at our centres, students will be required to wash their hands with soap and water or sanitiser gel.
• Tables will be wiped with antiseptic cleaner before each class.
• Shaking hands etc with students and parents will stop for now in line with Government advice.
• Parents must inform us if their child’s school has been closed due to an incidence of Coronavirus or if they need to self-isolate. In this case, the child should not attend classes but will be offered work to be done at home.
• If a parent decides for their child to stop attending centre sessions, work will be offered to be done at home.
We may of course need temporarily to close centres in future if:
• Any risks or local incidents of COVID-19 mean that we deem it safest to close,
• The halls and rooms where we operate deem it safest for us to close,
• First Class Learning Headquarters deem it safest for us to close,
• The UK Government deem it safest for schools and businesses like ours to close.
We will continue to monitor and update parents on the situation should we need to take any further action.
For students working from home, support by phone, text and email will still be available as usual.
We would like to thank all parents for the patience, co-operation and understanding.
