Cowdenbeath AfterSchool Club is based at Maxwell Centre

We currently collect children from Hill of Beath, St Brides Primary,Foulford Primary and Lumphinnans Primary School. We are Open from 3pm til 6pm term time and 8am til 6pm
mon-thur and 8 til 5pm on fridays during the school holidays. We offer high quality childcare and all staff are fully qualified and registered with the SSSC.

Welcome Back!

A huge welcome back to all our children as we begin another fun year at After School Club after the summer break!
Can't wait to hear what you've all been upto over the Summer holidays.

A special welcome to all our new children and families—we're so excited to have you join us and can't wait to make lots of happy memories together.

To our previous children who are now starting high school, we wish you the very best of luck in your new adventure. Be confident, have fun, and enjoy this exciting new chapter—we're so proud of you!

Here's to a fantastic year ahead full of fun, friendship, and laughter!

Morning everyone
Hope you've had all enjoyed the rest off the holidays. Cant believe the 2 weeks have passed so quickly. Im going to open the diary today & start going through messages & get everyone booked in. Let us know if there are any changes to your days or you no longer need a space. Looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday & hearing all about your holidays☀️🌝 xx

Just like that the summer holiday programme is finished!!!
It has been such a busy, fun filled 4 weeks🥳

We have enjoyed every minute of it and we hope the children have too, it has been great to welcome some new faces to the club whilst getting to spend some time with familiar ones too. We have watched new friendships flourish and lots of happy memories made which has been so lovely to see- included are some pictures from our summer party yesterday❤️

Our staff have worked hard and are now off for some well earned rest, we will return when the schools go back on Wednesday 19th August
any messages will be answered that week.

Just a reminder that all invoices have been sent out and these should be paid as soon as possible.

We hope all the children enjoy the rest of their holidays, we can’t wait to hear all about it when the schools return

☀️ ⛱️SUMMER PHOTO ALBUM⛱️☀️

We’ve been so busy that we’ve forgotten to update you all with pictures of what we have been doing!!
So here is a collection of photos from the last 4 weeks

The weather was so nice so we took advantage of that and spent a lot of time outside, we went for our woodland walk, had a water fight and also done a sports day.🏅🌳🪁

We’ve also been inside making crafts, doing science experiments, pampering ourselves, making slime and we even had our own talent show🎨🥼💅🎤

There is more fun still to come as tomorrow is our summer party!! we cannot wait!!🥳🎉 just a reminder again that this is an additional £5 for the cost of the inflatables

‼️ IMPORTANT- INVOICES‼️

Hi everyone,

Just a little
message about invoices. Everyone should now have an invoice for the summer holiday programme, could these fees please be paid as soon as possible as this is our main source of income to cover things like rent and staff wages.
If you haven’t received an invoice please contact either Grace or Jackie via the page or email us

As of next month all invoices will be emailed to you- could everyone message us your preferred email address for these.

🎉☀️WEDNESDAY SUMMER PARTY☀️🎉

For all the parents who have their children booked in for Wednesday the 29th, there will be an additional charge of £5 per child to cover the cost of the inflatables. Could we please ask that you bring this with them in the morning of the day as this has not been added to invoices.

We’ve had such a fun time so far and can’t believe we’re almost finished the 3rd week already!☀️

💦 Wednesday Water Fight 💦

Hi Everyone,

Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend, can’t believe that’s us entering our 3 week of the programme already!!!

Just a reminder to the parents who have their children booked in for this Wednesday, It’s our water fight day so children will require a full change of clothes including shoes, a towel and will need to bring their own water gun- We will have water balloons if the children do not own one.

If children have crocs or sliders it might be an idea to have the children wear them.
Children will not be able to participate if they do not have a spare pair of clothes

Hi everyone,
It’s Grace- Just a post to make you all aware that following Ashleighs departure i have now taken on the role as manager at the after school club. You have probably seen me in the club or have heard the children mention my name before. I have worked at the club as a relief support worker for 3 years now whilst completing my Bachelors in Inclusion and Support in Society at university. Over the last few years i would normally be in to cover any sickness or holidays as well as working in the holiday programmes therefore you might not have seen much of me however when the school go back on the 18th of August i will be working in the club every Wednesday and Thursday.
I will have big shoes to fill following the impact Ashleigh has made on the club however, i am very excited to take on this position and am looking forward to working with you all in my new role.

As I close the chapter on my time at Cowdenbeath After School Club, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the amazing parents, children and staff.

I was completely overwhelmed by all of the lovely cards, gifts and kind words I received on my last day. Your generosity and thoughtfulness mean more than I can put into words. Thank you so much for making my last day so special.

It was such an emotional day saying goodbye. I've been incredibly lucky to spend the last 3 years as part of the Cowdenbeath After School Club family, and they've truly been some of the best years. Watching your children grow, laugh, learn and develop has been such a privilege, and I'll miss every single one of them.

To my wonderful colleagues, thank you for all the laughs, support and memories we've shared. And to all the parents, thank you for trusting me with your amazing children and for always being so supportive and kind.

Although I'm moving on to a new adventure, I definitely won't be a stranger, and I hope to see lots of familiar faces around Cowdenbeath.

Thank you all again for everything. I'll always look back on my time at Cowdenbeath After School Club with a smile, and you'll all have a very special place in my heart. ❤️
