Congratulations are in order for Senior dancer & teaching assistant, Ellie! ✨✨✨

Ellie auditioned for Hamilton Junior Associates Programme at Hamilton Theatre Arts this week and was successful in gaining a place 🥳

We are all so proud of Ellie! She has been with us since DDA first opened and has consistently worked so hard week in week out to become the best dancer & performer she can be 🥰

We can’t wait to see what this next chapter holds for you!

Wondering what our instructors were up to over the summer?

🇺🇸⚽️ Kara went to Miami for the World Cup (but more importantly had two days in Orlando on the way there!)
🎶🪩 Katie has been working & waiting patiently for Creamfields this weekend
🌷☀️ Skye had a birthday present trip to Amsterdam with her partner
💃✨ Rosie finished her contract in India and spent the summer performing in Greece

Along with this we were teaching lots of privates, holding open studio sessions and choreography sessions together too!

Last up for our new adult classes (for now👀) is…

👯‍♂️ Fusion Moves

This class is a dance inspired fitness class with a twist. This class focusses on creating connection and community so follows a pay-what-you-can framework and, after the class, there is a chance to have some tea, coffee & conversation with everyone in our cosy reception🥰

You book in online (via the bookwhen link in our bio) and pay what you can at the door via honesty box for cash or QR code for card.

I’ve been wanting to do a class like this for so so long and I’m so excited it’s now coming to fruition! It’s truly so important to me that we create as much opportunity as we can for as many people as possible to access dance, movement & community💜

If you want to get moving and be part of a lovely, supportive & welcoming community then this is the class for you!

Next up for our new adult classes is…

🕺 Adult Dance (morning)

You asked and we listened! Now if you can’t make our evening Adult Dance class we have a daytime option available 🥳

Join us for an open level dance class where we will explore styles such as; Jazz, Commercial, HipHop, Lyrical and more.

Each week we cover technique, flexibility and choreography in an inclusive environment. We always have progressions, so if you are a beginner or a seasoned dancer there will be options that cover the full spectrum of ability.

Improve and maintain your mobility and fitness, be part of a community and have fun in the best possible way - dancing!

Today our team completed their Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work with Sports Injury First Aid certification with the fabulous A.D. Training and Development ⛑️🩹

This was a refresher for Kara, Katie & Skye as they were all coming towards the end of their current first aid certifications (it has to be renewed every 2-3 years depending on the course).

This time round though we decided to get the rest of our team certified too! So now not only are our Instructors first aiders, our teaching assistants, admin assistant and receptionist all are too 😁

Andy from A.D Training and Development was absolutely brilliant and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking to do this course 🙏
