Fun Foundations Day Nursery Cowbridge A leading day nursery providing wrap around childcare for working families in the rural Vale of Glamorgan.

As a leading nursery based in Cowbridge, between Cardiff and Bridgend we believe that learning through fun and adventure is great for children. Our little scientists have been busy creating their very own pumpkin potions using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar! The excitement was bubbling over as our potions fizzed and erupted, creating lots of magical Halloween fun!

Activities like these encourage curiosity, exploration and early scientific thinking, all while having lots of fun and making magical memories! 👻🧪

On Sunday, our lovely Leean & Abbie took on the challenge of running the Cardiff Half Marathon and they did INCREDIBLE!

We are all so proud of them for this huge achievement, Abbie completing it in 2 hours 12 minutes and Leean in 2 hours 16 minutes - well done girls! 🏅

🌿 Relax, Recharge & Recognise 🌿

Our team recently had the opportunity to attend a wonderful Relax & Recharge event, hosted by the Vale of Glamorgan Council Childcare Team, created especially to recognise and celebrate the important role of Early Years Practitioners. 💚

Working in Early Years is incredibly rewarding, but we know it can also be busy, demanding and full-on. That’s why it’s so important that the people who spend their days caring for, nurturing and supporting our little ones have the opportunity to take some time for themselves too. 🥰

The event gave our team the chance to slow down, unwind and simply enjoy some well-deserved time to recharge, with a range of relaxing activities including:

💐 Flower arranging
🎨 Art and creative activities
💆‍♀️ Relaxation techniques, including massage
🧘‍♀️ Meditation and mindfulness

It was lovely to see our team taking some time away from their busy roles, enjoying each other’s company and trying something a little different.

A huge thank you to the Vale of Glamorgan Childcare Team for recognising the dedication of Early Years Practitioners and creating such a lovely opportunity for our team to relax and recharge. 💚

🌸 Country Fair! 🌸

Last Friday our Little Learners had a wonderful time visiting the local country fair! They had a look at the fresh vegetables, fruit, flowers and jams before settling on some yummy Welsh Cakes for their snack - what a treat! 🥰

They then had an explore finding leaves, sticks, conkers and having a run around in the crisp Autumn sunshine! ☀️

This week, the children have been exploring Space through stories, imaginative play, creativity, questions and real-life experiences — including a special Space storytelling event at our local library. 📚🚀 Cowbridge Library
