๐ŸฐHigh Tea @ FP2!โ˜•

Year 7 students enjoyed an afternoon at FP2, where they took part in a range of
hospitality and catering activities. Students designed and created their own acrylic
menu stands and menus, developing their creativity and presentation skills. โ€‹
โ€‹
They also had the opportunity to enjoy a selection of beautifully presented foods, giving them a taste of a high tea dining experience!

๐ŸŽจDesign and Make Challengeโ€‹ @ Warwick University๐Ÿ”จ

Recently, 8 Year 10 Design and Technology students took part in the Design and Make Challenge at Warwick University organised by WMG. โ€‹

The students were challenged to a STEM activity. They had to design and make an
electric vehicle that would travel along a Perspex ridge and deposit a sensor at the top.โ€‹ This was the hardest challenge that the organisers had set in the history of the Design and Make challenge.โ€‹ Students were judged on the distance travelled
and time taken. However our students rose to the challenge and ended up coming in forth place. โ€‹

Students worked really well throughout the day. Showing good communication skills, problem solving skills, determination and resilience!

๐Ÿค– Robotics ๐Ÿค–

Recently, Yr9 students Nathan, Jenson and Morgan visited Finham Park school for this year's 2026 Vex Robotics competition between all the MAT schools. โ€‹
Meadow Park robotics team, who had been working hard in after school club all year, took two robots to competition. โ€‹

Robots faced three different challenges in different heats. The first being the team work challenge: working with another school each round to score the highest points. The second competition was to work solo to score highest points, and the third challenge was the autonomous challenge in which our team had to code the robot and have it navigate the arena to score.โ€‹

Meadow Park students did the school proud and were great role models for the school, talking to the primary schools and helping other teams and working together to score.โ€‹ After some really exciting matches and really close scores
Meadow Park team took the award for the skills challenge. โ€‹ Really well done!

The boys are very interested in running the Vex Robotic club next year for any students wanting to take part and join the team to compete next year, so look out for posters next year to join!๐Ÿ‘€
