We’re incredibly proud to share that Meadow Park School has been recognised with a National School Attendance Award, placing us in the Top 10% Most Improved FFT Secondary Schools in England for the 2025/26 academic year! 👏

A huge thank you to all of our Year 12 scientists who applied to become KS5 Science Ambassadors. We were really impressed by the interest, enthusiasm and ideas put forward.

Congratulations to Aminah, Oliver and Rifatur, who have been successfully appointed! 👏🎉

🌕🏮 Year 7 Celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival

Our Year 7 students recently enjoyed learning all about the Mid-Autumn Festival, a celebration observed across many East and Southeast Asian communities.

Students explored the traditions and stories behind the festival, including the famous legend of Chang’e and the Moon, and discovered why the full moon is an important symbol of family, reunion and togetherness. 🌕✨

They then got creative by making their own lanterns, bringing one of the festival’s traditional symbols to life! 🏮

A lovely opportunity to learn about different cultures and traditions — well done, Year 7! 💜

Every day in school makes a difference. Regular attendance helps students stay connected with their learning, friendships and wider school life, giving them the best opportunity to thrive.

We also understand that sometimes there are genuine challenges that can make attending school difficult. Our team is here to work with families, offering supportive meetings, personalised attendance plans and access to additional support where needed.

💚Together, we can improve attendance and help create brighter futures for our students.

CLASS OF 2027! 📣

For parents and carers of Year 11 (and Year 10 if you would like a head start!)

📚This week revision guides for all of your child's GCSE and BTEC subjects will be added to MCAS - a letter will be sent by email as soon as they are available. It is important that you check with your child which subjects and tiers they are studying to make sure that you order the correct revision guides as we are unable to offer refunds. Our revision guides are non-profit and are much cheaper than book shops and Amazon.

📅After-school intervention and revision classes will start the week beginning Monday 5th October and a timetable will be sent out next week.

💃Finally, it's not too late to pay your deposit for Prom - it will be amazing - and you can do this on MCAS.

🚣 A brilliant week of sport and teamwork at Meadow Park! 🏃‍♂️

A huge well done to all of our students who represented Meadow Park at the Cross-Country Competition at Finham Park School on Monday. We were incredibly proud of the determination and resilience shown by everyone who took on such a challenging race.

A special congratulations to Harry, who won the KS4 race! 🥇 An outstanding performance and a thoroughly deserved victory. 👏

Our Year 7 students have also been out on the water this week, learning how to paddle a bell boat together. It took plenty of teamwork, communication and coordination, and they approached the challenge with fantastic enthusiasm! 🚣‍♀️

We’re looking forward to seeing them put their new skills to the test when they compete later this year!

🎺 Fancy learning to play an instrument… for FREE? 🎶

We’re really excited to be working alongside Coventry Music to offer 50 Meadow Park students 10 weeks of FREE instrument lessons — with free instrument hire included too!

There are 25 Brass places available for Cornet, Trumpet or Trombone, and 25 Woodwind places for Clarinet or Flute. 🎺🎵

Lessons will take place during the school day and are open to students in Years 7–10.

Places are first come, first served, so if you’d like to give it a go, don’t hang around! Speak to Mr Lowe in T01 to register your interest.

Whether you’ve always wanted to learn an instrument or simply fancy trying something new, this is a brilliant opportunity! 🙌

🚨Important Travel Update: ASDA Roundabout Roadworks🚨

Parents and carers are advised that major improvement works are due to begin at the ASDA Roundabout (London Road/Humber Road area) from Monday 21 September 2026. The project is expected to continue until Spring 2027, with the main construction work commencing from 28 September. Traffic will primarily be managed through lane closures, which may lead to increased congestion and longer journey times, particularly during peak travel periods. [coventry.gov.uk]

To help ensure students arrive on time each day, we kindly ask families to allow extra time for their journey to school and plan ahead where possible. While we understand the roadworks may cause disruption, students are still expected to arrive punctually and be ready for learning at the start of the school day.

💬 Building confidence and finding their feet at secondary school! 👏

Our Year 7 students recently took part in a fantastic session with Talk the Talk, exploring what it means to make the move from primary to secondary school.

Through fun, interactive activities and discussions, students talked about meeting new people, making friends and navigating some of the challenges that come with starting somewhere new.

It was a great opportunity to build confidence, strengthen communication skills and remind students of the importance of supporting one another. 💚

A brilliant session to help our Year 7s continue settling into life at Meadow Park!
