Running Impact A&C Coventry is basically having 170 different job titlesā€¦

But then the children walk through the door excited to code, build, create and proudly show me what theyā€™ve madeā€¦ and suddenly all the cables, crumbs, invoices and washing up are worth it.

Behind every class parents see, there are a hundred tiny jobs nobody sees - and I wouldnā€™t have it any other way.

Wellā€¦ maybe Iā€™d happily outsource the dishes. šŸ˜‚šŸ™ˆ

Today was a very special day for our IT Interns.

After completing Module 2: Coding, the children had their Project Fayre and proudly presented the projects they had been working on. Seeing them explain what they created, show how it works and speak with confidence about their own ideas was such a lovely moment.

And then came the surpriseā€¦

We introduced them to their next module starting next week: LEGOĀ® Engineering, powered by LEGOĀ® Education SPIKEā„¢ Essential.

This is much more than building with LEGO.

Children will learn how to design, build, code, test and improve their own creations while developing important skills such as problem-solving, logical thinking, creativity, teamwork and resilience.

Theyā€™ll discover that when something doesnā€™t work the first time, thatā€™s not the end - itā€™s part of the engineering process. They try again, make changes, test new ideas and learn how to find solutions.

For young children, this kind of hands-on learning is such a powerful way to introduce engineering, robotics and coding in a way that feels exciting and fun.

We are so proud of how far our little IT Interns have already come, and we cannot wait to see what they build next.

Today our IT Seniors and IT Experts started their brand-new Module 3 - and the energy in the classroom said everything.

IT Senior | Design & Branding
Our students stepped into the world of creativity, visual thinking and real-world design - learning how ideas become brands.

IT Expert | 3D Modelling in Blender
Our older students began creating in 3D, exploring Blender and discovering how digital objects and worlds are actually built.

But one of the loveliest surprises today?
Seeing some familiar faces from our previous holiday camps come back to us for a demo lesson.

They already love Robloxā€¦ so we showed them how to CREATE with it.

Our brand-new Create Your First Game with AI module has started, and the children absolutely loved it.

Using Roblox Studio, Lua programming and AI, they began discovering what happens behind the games they already know so well.

Was it always easy? No - and thatā€™s exactly where the learning happens. They had to think, problem-solve, try again and keep going. But because they were working inside a platform they already enjoy, they stayed excited, curious and completely engaged.

And thereā€™s something very special about seeing a child go from playing a game to proudly saying:

ā€œI made this.ā€

Another Project Fayre, another very proud moment for us.

Our IT Interns have officially completed their Kodu Game Lab module and today they had the chance to show what theyā€™ve created.

Seeing how much confidence, creativity and independence theyā€™ve developed is exactly why we love what we do. From learning the basics to proudly presenting their own projects - theyā€™ve come such a long way.

Well done to every single one of our young coders. We are incredibly proud of you!

Weā€™re so excited to open two new classes at Impact Coventry, created for children who love building, experimenting, gaming and discovering how technology really works.

LEGO LAB | Ages 5-8
šŸ“… Wednesdays | 16:30-18:30
A brand-new hands-on module where our little creators will build, explore, solve challenges and learn through LEGO - developing creativity, problem-solving and confidence along the way.

CREATE YOUR FIRST GAME WITH AI | Ages 10ā€“14
šŸ“… Fridays | 16:30ā€“18:30
Instead of just playing Roblox, children will learn how to create their own game in Roblox Studio, discover LUA programming, and learn how to use AI as a tool to bring their own ideas to life.

Thereā€™s something very special about seeing a child look at something theyā€™ve built or programmed and proudly say: ā€œI made that!ā€

Days like today remind us why we love what we do.

We visited Holy Family Catholic Primary School in Coventry today for a Year 2 Robotics lesson, and the children were already waiting for us, full of excitement.

But the moment that really stayed with us was at the end, when they said, ā€œWe canā€™t wait for you to come back!ā€

Thereā€™s something so special about hearing that from children. Knowing they had fun, learned something new and are already excited for the next lesson genuinely made our day.

What a lovely day at St Thomas More Catholic Primary School!

Our younger children met Dash, learned the basics of robotics and programming - and even made Dash draw! Our older group jumped into Scratch, coding their names and experimenting with colours, sizes and movement.

But the best part? Seeing how focused, curious and excited they were.

They learned, discovered new things, had funā€¦ and already want us back next week!

Happy children = happy us.

After an amazing Project Fayre, itā€™s time for the next chapter!

Our students worked so hard to finish their projects, overcome challenges and proudly present what they created. Now weā€™re ready to learn, create and grow all over again!

New modules start this coming week:
IT Masters (8-10) - AI & Machine Learning
IT Seniors (11-13) - Design & Branding
IT Experts (14-17) - 3D Modelling in Blender

Every finished project gives them confidence. Every new module gives them another opportunity to discover what theyā€™re capable of.
