It’s here are two of the 50 Objects from the MRC’s exhibition. See the exhibition online: https://tinyurl.com/2p9ydnjh

Object 27, nominated by Alan Stewart, is a lantern slide of Faustovo village, Russia, c.1923/4. Alan's great-grandfather, Bob, a communist and Comintern agent, is in the picture, with his wife Margaret and daughter Annie.

Object 28 is well-known to MRC visitors, having featured in two exhibitions last year. Chosen by the MRC's Naomi Shewan, this Chile Solidarity Campaign poster is just one of many CSC documents we hold at the MRC.

Thank you to everyone who entered our Nature Photo Competition. We had a whopping 35 entries which meant that it was incredibly hard to choose our winners!📸

In the end, this photo was our ultimate winner – all of us at the Library just fell in love with this little cow. Slide across to see our joint Second Place winners, and our joint Third Place winners too!🎉

Check out the other entries for the competition at the end of the post! Can you spot any places you recognise?

Half-way through the objects, for object 25 we have the MRC's oldest trade union document: a handwritten book of rules and minutes from the Journeymen Cabinet Makers of Belfast (1788). This beautiful, fragile, item was chosen by Pierre Botcherby

Object 26 was chosen by Mark Crail of the Society for the Study of Labour History: a registration book (1901) for the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters, Cabinetmakers, and Joiners. These are great sources for family historians and labour historians.

Are you looking for a way to de-stress this term? Why not enter our Nature Photo Comp! 📸

We are asking current Warwick students to send in their favourite nature photo to be in with a chance to win one of three prizes!

Term 3 is one of the most stressful terms for students, but it's also the start of spring and getting out in nature can be really helpful to de-stress. Thus, we're asking students to get out on campus - or off campus - and take a nature photo.

This can be of your favourite place in nature, or your favourite part of nature, or even just your favourite part of spring! We're happy for you to edit your photos or to submit old photos - as long as they are yours!

Enter the competition and find out more information, including our terms and conditions for the competition here: https://warwick.ac.uk/services/library/pghub/naturephotocomp/

Can’t park there, mate! 🚗

It’s and we’re going all the way back to the 1960s when the Library was first built!

Our (younger) neighbouring buildings have replaced these cars, but we’ve still kept our good looks and charm 😉
