Recommendation 8: Hope Nicely’s Lessons for Life by Caroline Day

One of our Research and Academic Support Librarians shares: "I spotted this book on the new books shelves in my local public library. From the blurb: “Why am I writing this book? That’s easy. This book is going to change my life.” It’s the fictional story of Hope Nicely, who decides to write her autobiography and joins a writing class. Hope hopes that this will help her discover why her birth mother abandoned her in a cardboard box as a baby and whether she knew that Hope would be born with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder."
