โจ Can You Help Our New Edison Class? โจ
As many of you may already know, Pearl Hyde will be opening our new Special Provision this September, which will be known as Edison Class. We are incredibly excited! Since breaking up for the summer, furniture and resources have been arriving thick and fast, and the classroom is really starting to come together.
We're now looking for donations to help create a welcoming, engaging and fully inclusive learning environment for our children.
We are looking for donations of:
๐งธ Small world toys, including:
- Characters
- Cars
- Trucks
- Action figures
- People
- Animals
๐ญ Role play resources, including:
- Fancy dress costumes
- Dressing-up accessories
- Dolls
Toniebox characters
We have recently purchased a Toniebox (see picture). If you have any Tonies that are no longer used and would be happy to donate them, we would love to give them a new home. Our Toniebox will be part of our reading area, helping all children access stories in an engaging and inclusive way.
Please note: All donations must be in very good condition.
If you'd like to donate, please get in touch via this page and we can arrange drop off.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference to the children who will be learning in Edison Class. ๐

A huge Thank You to all of our Pearl Hyde families and community for all of their support this past year. What a success it has been!!
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school in September. Please ensure you are all signed up to our MCAS app so you are receiving communications from school.
We have lots of exciting things to look forward to in September, with our brand new Reception classroom due to complete this summer and the addition of our specialist base class, Edison.
Don't forget, Kidz Aloud are holding their holiday club for the first 4 weeks of summer and have spaces available. Please contact them directly to book in.

What a fantastic afternoon cheering on England together! โฝ๏ธ ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ
The children had a great time watching the match, celebrating every goal and showing lots of team spirit. There were plenty of cheers, smiles, and excitement as England secured a brilliant 3โ2 victory and booked their place in the World Cup quarter-finals.
It was lovely to see everyone enjoying the game together and sharing such a memorable afternoon. Come on, England! ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆโค๏ธ๐ค

The Science Fair at Pearl Hyde Primary was nothing short of extraordinary.
It was a morning filled with curiosity, creativity, and confident scientific thinking. The children didnโt just present projects, they explained them with clarity, enthusiasm and a depth of understanding that left everyone genuinely wowed.
This yearโs winning projects showcased an incredible range of scientific ideas: dancing rice, a solar system model complete with a brilliantly memorable acronym, an impressive LED generator, a clever demonstration of atmospheric pressure, a mesmerising revolving tornado, a thoughtful project on club foot, and a beautiful exploration of the aurora borealis. Each one reflected hard work, imagination and a real love of learning.
We were lucky enough to be joined on the judging panel by Mark Wood, an explorer. Mark grew up in Coventry and is now the first person in history to reach the North pole, where he stayed alone for 2 days, taking in the wonder of 7 billion people below. He has been on many expeditions including being up close with polar bears, spending time on Mount Everest, 2 miles above the clouds while also managing to save his friends life. His next expedition called Rediscover Arctic is leaving in February and we are hoping to be able to communicate with him on his journey and see live footage. He brought a polar bear tooth and claw with him for us to see.
We canโt wait to see and hear more from Mark!
