👨‍🎤TT Rockstars/🤖Numbots Day dress up day!
📆Friday 25th September.
All children in school will use either the Numbot or TT Rockstars app to support them with number facts or times tables.
On this day the children will explore the App in school and will have a special assembly.
Children in Reception and year 1 can come dressed a robot or rock star.
Children in Years 2-6 can come to school dressed a rock star.

Year 5 and 6 have begun their new art unit by exploring colour and style, starting with mood boards to show their prior knowledge and inspirations. Pupils looked at designer’s mood boards, noticing how each uses warm or cool colour palettes to create their vision. Their created boards demonstrated their understanding of primary, secondary and tertiary colours, as well as shade, tint and tone. We are excited for the rest of the unit, where we will be exploring Impressionism, Fauvism and Realism.

Year 5 and 6 have been thoroughly enjoying our new English scheme, Ready, Steady, Write, especially exploring the exciting new immersive story boxes. Using our strong oracy skills, pupils have discussed what their texts might be about, examined clues from the artefacts, and built predictions using evidence from the items. We are looking forward to inspiring our imagination and engagement with high‑quality literature and producing fantastic work this term.

✨ Can You Help Our New Edison Class? ✨

As many of you may already know, Pearl Hyde will be opening our new Special Provision this September, which will be known as Edison Class. We are incredibly excited! Since breaking up for the summer, furniture and resources have been arriving thick and fast, and the classroom is really starting to come together.

We're now looking for donations to help create a welcoming, engaging and fully inclusive learning environment for our children.

We are looking for donations of:

🧸 Small world toys, including:

- Characters
- Cars
- Trucks
- Action figures
- People
- Animals

🎭 Role play resources, including:

- Fancy dress costumes
- Dressing-up accessories
- Dolls

Toniebox characters

We have recently purchased a Toniebox (see picture). If you have any Tonies that are no longer used and would be happy to donate them, we would love to give them a new home. Our Toniebox will be part of our reading area, helping all children access stories in an engaging and inclusive way.

Please note: All donations must be in very good condition.

If you'd like to donate, please get in touch via this page and we can arrange drop off.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference to the children who will be learning in Edison Class. 💙

We can't believe it's the end of another academic year!

A huge Thank You to all of our Pearl Hyde families and community for all of their support this past year. What a success it has been!!

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school in September. Please ensure you are all signed up to our MCAS app so you are receiving communications from school.

We have lots of exciting things to look forward to in September, with our brand new Reception classroom due to complete this summer and the addition of our specialist base class, Edison.

Don't forget, Kidz Aloud are holding their holiday club for the first 4 weeks of summer and have spaces available. Please contact them directly to book in.

Have an incredible summer and we'll see you in September for another very exciting year ahead.
