Simon Blake Music Welcome to my page! I am drummer, session player and teacher based in Coventry, UK. Please get in contact with any gig, recording or lesson requests.

I am an experienced teacher and performer/session musician who has just relocated to Coventry from Cardiff, Wales. I am currently the Head of Drums at Nexus ICA, Coventry. (www.nexus-ica.co.uk)

As a performer Simon has played with multiple ensembles whether as a drummer or percussionist, for local artists, corporate/wedding bands, jazz/latin ensembles, or classical music ensembles. As a teacher my primary focus for all students is to have fun and enjoy playing your instrument! As a multi-instrumentalist, I will play bass or piano in our lessons to enhance your musical skills. Whether your focus is graded exams, school/university assessments, or are looking to further your abilities whatever your ability, we will create a plan that works for you using a variety of resources. Lessons will be held at Nexus Ica, 71 Albany Rd, Coventry CV5 6JR. This facility is equipped with a professional drum kit and a PA system. Lessons are on an acoustic drum set. Lessons cost £35/hour. I am an MU member, and have a current DBS check. I look forward to hearing from you!
