It was a great honour for Rachel Macbeth to be nominated by Saqib Bhatti the local MP to Beatle Woods for this MPheroes award in recognition of women in business.
It means she gets to spend time networking with other women in business. Last week Rachel was invited to the Houses of Parliament, Westminster, London, UK to do just that.
Thank you to Savvitas and NatWest for this fabulous opportunity.

We've been so busy in the woods , we've not had time to post!
We have been so grateful to have the support of contractors on High Speed Two Limited (HS2 Ltd) and BBV and Acorn for assisting us with the delivery of much needed bark. It's been a wet start to the year and the ground has suffered.
Thank you to everyone who lent a hand on the day.

This time of year always reminds us how important our loved ones are, and how precious the bond is that we share with family.
I donāt often post personal reflections, but this week feels significant for many reasons.
Nine years ago today ( which happened to be my birthday) , my beloved dad lost his battle with Alzheimerās. It was a life-changing momentāone that, in time, marked the beginning of something unexpected and profoundly meaningful. In the grief that followed, it became clear that I needed to make changes; that I needed to do something different.
Three months later, on a simple dog walk in typically rainy weather, I passed the spot that would eventually become the nursery.
Six months after that, the dream I didnāt even know I had began to take shapeāand became a reality.
Beatle Woods was born. On September 11th, 2017, we opened the gates.
None of this would have been possible without my dad. He was a true inspirationāa man who dedicated the later years of his life to child protection and supporting asylum-seeking children. I know he would have been a warm and constant presence at Beatle Woods, happily spending time with both the children and the staff.
I remain endlessly grateful for the privilege Iāve been given. To play a meaningful role in the lives of children and families is an honour I never take for granted.
Beatle Woods has given me a sense of clarityāboth personally and professionallyāthat I didnāt even know I needed. I am profoundly grateful for everything it has brought into my life, and for the opportunities it continues to offer me.
Thanks Dad. Keep Rockin! Xx

Tell us something we donāt knowā¦. The best place to be is outside.
āWe already know that access to the outdoors is important for children and their development. But this study goes one step further. It is part of a growing body of researchlinking two layers of biodiversity. There is the outer layer ā the more familiar vision of biodiversity, made up of soil, water, plants, animals and microbial life, that lives in the forest, playground (or any other environment). And then there is the inner layer: the biodiversity that lives within and upon the human body, including the gut, skin and airways.ā
How a radical experiment to bring a forest into a preschool transformed childrenās health
In Finland, kindergartens are exposing children to more mud, wild plants and moss - and finding changes to their health that show how crucial biodiversity is to wellbeing
