👑 A Very Special Delivery for Nursery! 👑
We were incredibly excited to receive a very special letter from Buckingham Palace this week!
The children of Belgrade Nursery had written some wonderful messages and created delightful pictures for King Charles III and even invited The King and Queen for tea! His Majesty was touched by their kindness and thoughtful invitation to a special tea party.
The children were amazed to see the royal envelope, the beautiful card, and the official letter from the Head of Royal Correspondence. What a memorable moment for our Nursery children!
We are so proud of the children for showing such kindness, creativity and thoughtfulness.

A truly special memory for Belgrade Nursery at St Bartholomew’s. 👑✨

A short while ago we had some of our children in years 5 and 6 entered a 100 word story competition. We’re delighted to say that some of the entries submitted have been selected and will be published in a book of short stories. A huge well done to all of the children who submitted their work. We are very proud of your achievements and can’t wait to see your work in the book! 🎉🥳👏🙌📕

The warmer weather is coming😊and the plan is to restore the nurture garden so the children can use this daily again. Mrs Grubb and Miss Davies are starting an after school gardening club, the plan is to grow flowers and vegetable’s and hopefully these can be sold at the Summer Fun Day.
If any of the school community have any donations of plant pots, planters, grow bags, soil, garden equipment, seeds, bulbs etc we would be very grateful.
We also need some slabs and stones, it doesn’t matter what colour as they will be in the large raised beds so pots can be placed on them to create a container garden. Thank you in advance 🌷🌾🌼🌻looking forward to seeing you next week.

📚✨ Author Visit – A Fantastic Experience! ✨📚
We were delighted to welcome authors Philip Reeve and Sarah McIntyre to our school as part of the Stratford Literary Festival! The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring Adventuremice: Mice and Mummies, learning about the inspiration behind the story, and discovering more about the creative process of writing and illustrating.
There was plenty of excitement, laughter, and brilliant questions from the children – a truly inspiring event that has sparked even more enthusiasm for reading! 🐭📖
Do ask your child about their favourite part of the visit!
Thank you for your continued support in encouraging a love of reading at home 💛

SCHOOL CLOSED TODAY
Dear parents and carers,
We have completed a site inspection including looking at the local roads and, in line with many other local schools, we are closing today for health and safety reasons. We do not believe that it is safe for families and staff to travel this morning.
We appreciate that this is a challenge for many of you but safety is always our first priority.
Legally, teachers have to set online learning so that will be made available through class dojo. However, this learning does not have to be sent in to the teacher nor returned on Monday and teachers won’t be chasing up for evidence of learning.
Many thanks,
Mrs H Carvell
Executive Headteacher

EXTREME WEATHER
It doesn't look like we will get much snow however a number of people asked what our plan is for tomorrow - open or closed. We will have to assess in the morning whether school is a safe site and whether we can get enough staff into school.
Please make sure you:
- check your Dojos in the morning
- visit the Coventry School closures website: https://www.coventry.gov.uk/schools-schooling/school-closure-announcements
- make other families from school aware
If we are open please:
- dress your child appropriately
- get them to wear wellies/boots/other shoes to come to school and then have a spare pair of shoes and socks to change into at school
This is because we may get the children outside in the snow building snowmen!
We will aim to make a decision as early as we can to help you out.
Many thanks
Mrs Carvell
