๐Ÿ“š KS3 Reading Assessment Week ๐Ÿ“š
During the week commencing 15 June 2026, all KS3 students at Stoke Park School will be taking the New Group Reading Test (NGRT).
The NGRT is a nationally standardised assessment used by schools across the UK to measure reading and comprehension skills against age-related expectations.
The results help us to:
โ€ข Identify studentsโ€™ literacy strengths
โ€ข Monitor reading progress
โ€ข Ensure appropriate challenge and support in lessons
โ€ข Identify where additional reading interventions may be beneficial
There is no need to revise or prepare for the assessment. The test is completed online under staff supervision and adapts to each studentโ€™s reading level. We simply encourage students to approach the assessment positively and do their best.
Good luck to all of our KS3 students! ๐Ÿ“–โœจ

๐Ÿ Coventry Schoolsโ€™ Cup Semi-Final ๐Ÿ
What a match!
On Tuesday 9th June, Stoke Park secured a dramatic 1 run victory over Finham Park to book their place in the Coventry Schoolsโ€™ Cup Final.
After scoring 71-4 from their 14 overs, Stoke Park produced a disciplined bowling and fielding performance to defend a modest total. Captain Moawiz led from the front with an excellent innings, while wickets were shared throughout the team effort.
A crucial run out from Khalifa in the penultimate over left Finham needing 8 from the final over. With the pressure at its highest, Asim held his nerve brilliantly, taking two wickets and conceding just six runs to secure an unforgettable victory.
Congratulations to all the players involved on a fantastic team performance. We now look forward to the Coventry Schoolsโ€™ Cup Final in the coming weeks!
