Nursery had lots of fun exploring a creative activity called string painting! The children used a variety of bright and beautiful colours to make their own unique pictures.
We dipped pieces of string into paint and then moved them across the paper, just like a wriggly caterpillar! The children enjoyed pulling the string in different ways, creating interesting patterns and shapes.
As we worked, we talked about the different colours we were using and described our lines as long and short. It was wonderful to see the children experimenting, sharing ideas, and taking pride in their artwork.
The children also enjoyed creating beautiful butterfly pictures using a fun paint-splatting activity. We added drops and splats of colourful paint onto one side of the paper, then carefully folded it in half.
When we opened the paper, we discovered wonderful symmetrical patterns that looked just like butterfly wings! The children were amazed to see how the colours spread and mixed together to create such beautiful designs.
We talked about the different colours we used and noticed how each butterfly was unique. The activity encouraged creativity, curiosity, and lots of excitement as the children revealed their finished butterflies.
