INTRODUCTION:
Yorùbá is a language primarily of West Africa with over 28 million speakers.
It is spoken majorly among South Western Nigerians, in parts Benin Republic, and part of Togo and traces of it are found among communities in Northern Ghana, Brazil, Sierra Leone and Cuba etc
At IFÁ COLLEGE, we offer Yorùbá language courses to meet foreign language requirements of undergraduate students’ and cultural classes to prepare graduate students ready for their research and stay in any Yoruba speaking community.
CURRICULUM:
Our curriculum is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to understand and interact in Yorùbá language.
The programme covers a wide range of topics including Alphabet and tonation, word recognition, commands and responses, numbers, relating in different social organizations etc.
The faculty is available to students through forums, email, and phone calls. Students also have access to a variety of resources, including a state-of-the-art e-library, virtual course directory, a private tutor portal, and a variety of student organisations.
