🌿🍃 In the Acorns, we have been busy getting creative! 🍃🌿

This week, we’ve been making beautiful wind catchers to add to our Forest School area—and they look fantastic! 🌈✨

It’s been lovely to see everyone working so carefully and enjoying the outdoors while creating something special for our space.

Well done, Acorns—we are so proud of your hard work and creativity! 👏💚

⭐Big Sing⭐

Year 5 had an amazing opportunity to sing at the Coventry Cathedral as part of a choir with 600 children.

They sang songs accompanied by the cathedral church organ and also with a live band. The children told the story of Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat through song.

Bishop Sophie Jelley was very impressed with all the performance from the children. Well done year 5's you were amazing.

If any children would like to become choristers for the cathedral please use the following link:

🏉Coventry Rugby🏉

Yesterday we had some of the Coventry Rugby Academy senior team players, Sam and Joe, come to visit our Year 4 children.

Sam and Joe listened to the children read and then spent some time playing Rugby and doing some sports activities outside in the field.

The children loved meeting the team members and asking them about playing rugby as a professional, as well as having some fun training with them.

Thanks again Sam & Joe! 😊

⚽🩵⚽Sky Blue Day⚽🩵⚽

Today Walsgrave turned from our usual green uniform to a sea of Sky Blue, as we celebrated Coventry City FC reaching the Premier League AND being crowned winners of the Championship🏆

We started off the day with a CCFC quiz in classes, to test who had the best knowledge of our home team.

The children had a CCFC themed lunch in the hall decorated with flags and banners.

It was fab to see all the children and staff really make an effort today - some even wearing Sky Blue bows and sporting blue hair!!😊

We hope you all have a wonderful bank holiday and for those who are watching the parade or attending the 'We are Back' party at War Memorial Park - we hope you enjoy this special occasion for the city.

🩵⚽🩵⚽We are Champions🩵⚽🩵⚽

To celebrate Coventry City not only becoming Championship winners last night and our promotion to the Premier League, we are holding a Sky Blue day on Friday 1st May.

This will also be a nice pre-celebration ahead of the gathering at War Memorial Park and the open-top bus parade, on Monday 4th May.

Next Friday, 1st May, children are welcome to come in to school wearing their Coventry City football kits or Sky Blue clothing.

We've also made some Sky Blue additions to our menu on that day 😊
