☘️🕵️Murder in Year 6! 🕵️‍♀️☘️

Year 6 became detectives today for our Snow White in New York hook! We investigated the crime scene, gathered clues and interrogated some suspicious members of staff… 👀🍎

It was also a fantastic opportunity to develop our oracy skills. Pupils planned purposeful interview questions, listened actively, built follow-up questions from what they heard and used evidence to challenge responses. They had to think on their feet, speak confidently and adapt their questioning to get the information they needed!

We’re back… and so are our brilliant OPAL playtimes!

It’s been wonderful to see children and staff alike making the most of break times this week – playing, creating, exploring and, most importantly, having fun together! 💚

There’s nothing quite like seeing our playground full of happy faces, imagination and laughter. What a fantastic way to start the new school year!

We are looking forward to welcoming prospective Year 7 families to Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School on Wednesday 16 September. ❤️

To help families enjoy both our Open Evening and the much-anticipated Coventry City v Aston Villa Carabao Cup fixture later that evening ⚽, we have brought our event forward.

🕓 Open Evening: 4.00pm - 6.00pm
🎤 Principal presentations: 5.00pm and 5.30pm

☘️👾Monster Writing in Year 3! 👾☘️

Year 3 had great fun creating their own monsters using paper collage! They then used their creations to orally compose descriptive sentences, before building sentences by putting cut-up words and phrases in the correct order. A brilliant way to develop vocabulary, speaking and sentence structure through creativity!
