WALKING FOOTBALL | 10 sides from across the Midland's joined together last week for the Dave Bennett Community Cup 🏆

Players of mixed ability enjoyed the atmosphere and social comradery 😃 In the words of Elvis of Nottingham Reds: "Football was truly the winner!" 👏🏼

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Derby FC, Leicester FC, Nottingham Reds, Ambleside, Racing Club Wawrick and all of our Participants at SBitC for an amazing day of football ⚽️

Nottingham Reds ran out the eventual winners 👏🏼 But came up against a spirited side Racing Club Black's who pushed their experienced opponents to the end. This left the final all down to a sudden death penalty shoot out 🤩

Special thanks to Martin, Kelly, Joe an all the staff of Coventry Sphinx for all their continued support 🙏🏼

Craig Shakespeare | Our thoughts and love go out to your family 🩵

Head of Community, David Busst commented: “So sad to hear the news of Shakey… a great guy and gentleman. We played for the same team as youngsters and worked alongside him, here at Sky Blues in the Community back in 2000. Thoughts with family” 😢

His passing was announced today by his family, sadly leaving us at the age of 60 🙏🏼⚽️
