LC academic enrolment process

Anyone wishing to take an academic module with us must now complete an online pre-enrolment form (which will be available from 1pm on Monday) before visiting the Language Centre. This will reduce waiting time on our main enrolment days and therefore hopefully improve the process for everyone. Please follow the steps below:

1. Decide on the language you wish to learn. If you are an undergraduate student, you will also need to determine whether you are taking the language course as part of your degree (for credit) or separately from your degree study
2. Select and complete the correct online pre-enrolment form for you (if taking module ‘not for credit’ payment in full would need to be made at the time of completing the pre-enrolment form; the course fee for academic modules for 2019/20 is £500.) The forms, along with more information on the process, can be found here: https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/arts/languagecentre/academic/enrolment/
3. Visit the Language Centre on one of our 3 academic enrolment days (10:00-16:00 each day):
• Friday 27 September
• Tuesday 1 October
• Thursday 3 October
You will see a tutor in your chosen language, who will assess your level and agree the correct module for you. They will discuss class time options with you and allocate you to a class.
4. If you are an undergraduate student taking the module for credit, you must also ensure that your module registration is updated accordingly with your home department

Please note:
• Spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis, so we advise people to come along to one of our enrolment days at the earliest opportunity
• Completion of the pre-enrolment form is mandatory before seeing a tutor
• A place on a module is only secured once you have been allocated to a class by a tutor
• If taking module ‘for credit module’ ensure registration is updated accordingly with your home department
• Lessons commence week 2 of the term 1 (week commencing the 7th October)

Welcome to our concert at 7-9pm 14 June.

It is a Concert on Chinese and Western music played with violin and piano by two internationally renowned musicians from China and UK: Prof. Yuxin LIU and Mr Yuanfan YANG. The same concert will be in London, Leeds and Paris at a much higher price. However, in Warwick we won’t pay the musicians at all, but just to cover basic costs, we have tried to keep the tickets to the lowest £5 at the concessionary rate including students, and £8 for non-concessionary rate.

The attached are the flyer and the introduction of the two musicians. The link for tickets below is at the website of Warwick University Arts Centre.
