Warwick Volunteers enables students from University of Warwick to take part in community volunteering

Warwick Volunteers provides opportunities for students at the University to volunteer in a variety of roles, within the local community. We have a range of different projects - some require a regular commitment, whereas others are flexible and allow you to give as much time as you are able to. Thank you to all the volunteers who joined us at Canley Library Garden today. We worked with the brilliant teams from , Wilmott Dixon and Warwick Estates.

We refreshed the planters ready for some new plants, gave the garden a w**d and tidy.

Thank you to Dr Nor Aziz for organising the session and for the delicious lunch.

After over 7 years of steering the Warwick Volunteers, Head of WV Paul Barlow leaves us this month for new adventures.
Joining us just a few weeks before the global pandemic hit, with his leadership we were able to continue offering volunteering opportunities to students during the challenging years of lockdown, limited numbers and additional safety measures. During his time with us we commissioned and launched the Volunteering Portal, gained the Kings Award for Volunteering and introduced thousands of students to the benefits of volunteering and supporting the local community.

The student and staff teams of Warwick Volunteers wish him all the best for the future: Good luck Paul!

The WV team are delighted to have had the opportunity to celebrate Shona’s big day with her. Starting her volunteer journey as a staunch supporter of Digital café and going on to become a Student Leader as well as a volunteer with many other activities, Shona has been a dedicated member of the 2025-2026 Exec as Vice President. With over 200 hours of volunteering under her belt, she’s been an invaluable part of Warwick Volunteers over the last few years, and we will miss her very much. Congratulations Shona!

Our volunteers had a lovely time yesterday clearing brambles and Himalayan balsam at Bagot's Castle! Despite being stung multiple times, the volunteers persevered with a smile on their faces! A massive thank you to everyone for all your hard work and for making this volunteer session one to remember! ☺️💪

Huge congratulations to one of our hardest-working student volunteers, Neorah Peiris who popped in to see us on her graduation day. During her time at Warwick she’s logged an astonishing 360+ hours of volunteering, much of which was supporting those experiencing food poverty in the local area. Through her leadership and enthusiasm these projects have continued to thrive. We couldn’t be more proud of , and wish you every success in the future!

Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who helped create some raised beds and did some w**ding with the Coventry Urban Rangers and Growing Together Stoke Heath! It was great seeing the community come together to work on this amazing project! We are so excited to see how this will progress! 🌱✨

Brighter Moments CIC is looking for a volunteer to help capture photos and videos at a community event supported by Community Crafters.
