The Combined Cadet Force (CCF) at Bablake offers students far more than outdoor adventure - it builds confidence, resilience, leadership and teamwork for life.

From field exercises and navigation skills to community service and personal challenge, pupils develop discipline, responsibility and the ability to thrive under pressure. We are so proud of our fantastic Shells who always play a vital role in our whole school production! Whether it is on stage or as part of the stage management team, their enthusiasm, dedication and teamwork have make them an important part of the company.

It’s been incredible to see their confidence grow and their energy light up the stage — and we are so excited to see what the future holds!

We were delighted to welcome a group of prospective Year 5 pupils to Bablake for a fantastic day of discovery and new connections.

The day began with engaging team-building activities, where pupils quickly formed friendships and experienced the warm, supportive spirit at the heart of our community.

They then took part in a practice Senior School entrance assessment, giving them a valuable opportunity to build confidence and gain a feel for the process ahead.

The afternoon brought a variety of hands-on experiences, starting with an exciting Forest School session, where pupils explored and learned in the great outdoors. Back on site, creativity flourished during an art session, while energy levels stayed high with a fun and active sports session out on the field.

A shared lunch gave everyone time to relax, chat, and strengthen those new friendships. It was a truly enjoyable day, and we loved welcoming so many prospective pupils and seeing them immerse themselves in life at Bablake. 🌿⚽🎨

🩺 Medicine Applications Webinar – Spotlight on Alumni

We were delighted to recently welcome former School Captains Su and Michael, both now 4th‑year medical students at Leeds and Cardiff respectively, who led an engaging and highly informative webinar for members of our Senior Medical Society.

Drawing on their own application journeys, they shared honest reflections on the challenges of applying to medical school, alongside practical advice on UCAT preparation, interviews and personal statements. They also spoke insightfully about the medical experiences, work experience and volunteering opportunities that helped shape their understanding of the profession and strengthen their applications.

A huge thank you to Su and Michael for giving their time so generously and for inspiring and supporting the next generation of aspiring medics. 👏✨

🌟 Fantastic weekend for Marly at the Warwickshire County AA Championships 2026! 🌟

Year 8 athlete Marly competed across five events, delivering an incredible all-round performance and bringing home 2 Gold Medals 🏅 and 3 Silver Medals 🥈.

She secured an impressive sprint double with gold in the 100m and 200m, alongside silver medals in high jump, javelin and long jump – showing great versatility across track and field.

A brilliant achievement that reflects her hard work, resilience and commitment. We are incredibly proud! 👏
