Last week, we enjoyed some extra whole-school play time for achieving our ‘Power Push’ focus. This week, we are focusing on showing respect during lunchtime by using kind words, listening to others, tidying away and treating our Opal equipment with care. 🌟

We are looking forward to welcoming prospective Year 7 families to Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School on Wednesday 16 September. ❤️

To help families enjoy both our Open Evening and the much-anticipated Coventry City v Aston Villa Carabao Cup fixture later that evening ⚽, we have brought our event forward.

🕓 Open Evening: 4.00pm - 6.00pm
🎤 Principal presentations: 5.00pm and 5.30pm

We are proud of our school community and can't wait to share what makes Cardinal Wiseman such a special place to belong. 😊

🏥🐧 Debbie’s Happy Penguin Walkers fundraiser for University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire Charity🐧 🏥

Debbie Colby was a parishioner in Saint Thomas More Church in Coventry, who created some of our school banners in Romero. On 12 September 2026, her husband is taking on the Thames Bridges Trek – 25km across London – in memory of his wonderful and talented wife, Debbie along with six other family members or friends.

Debbie passed away on 1st December 2025 after living with primary breast cancer and then secondary breast cancer that had spread to other parts of her body. Throughout her illness, they experienced incredible kindness, compassion and professionalism from the staff at the Arden Centre at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.

They are raising funds for the UHCW Charity and if you would like to donate to this cause as seven volunteers dressed as UHCW penguins take on this challenge please use the link below.🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧

Many of our families and staff have received treatment for cancer and other illnesses so we are happy to support this cause.

🏫 Across our family of 8 schools, we are united by a shared purpose: ensuring that every child is known, valued and loved ❤️, and that every member of our community feels a true sense of belonging 🤝.

🙏 Together, as one Romero family, we continue our journey of faith ✝️, learning 📖 and service 🌟, walking in hope 🕊️ and accompanying one another every step of the way.

Cardinal Wiseman welcomes Year 7 pupils and Year 12 students back on Wednesday 2 September and Year 8,9,10,11 pupils and Year 13 students on Thursday 3 September.
