Warwick Statistics Society aims to help you get the most out of your university experience. We place So what events do we run?
We’ve got three main aims as a society:

We’ll give you a hand choosing your modules at the beginning of the year so you can be happy you’re on the right path. And when it comes to revising, we offer printed revision guides, typeset lecture notes and even revision lectures and seminars to make sure you’re completely prepared for exams. Enhance employability

Highlights include: the stunning ball with Maths and Physics Societies, out highly demanded pub crawls, Poker night, our football team reaching the league playoffs, Rolf at Stats Café & our freps running a gameshow night!
The society has recovered post-Covid, and has a large and active community! Our new exec are looking forward to the next year and are excited to bring you many more events!

We are excited to introduce the Annual Warwick Quant Championship – a challenging and fun tournament with a pretty impressive prize bank!

The Quant Championship will be taking place over two days. Rounds 1 and 2 (Mental Maths and Brainteasers) are happening on Tuesday 1st March, and Round 3 (Statistics) is a week after. You don’t need a team: it is an individual competition, so simply come along with a pen, paper and a calculator on day X – and get ready to enter the race!

🔥P4DS Course 🔥
Our intermediate-level Python for Data Science course will start out next week, covering the relevant packages and skills necessary for working with data in this versatile language.
The course will be delivered starting next Monday with a blended approach of both in-person and online sessions, with some self-paced elements available, as well as subject-specific mini-projects that enable you to build a portfolio and apply your learnings.
Furthermore, a digital certificate will be issued to participants who successfully complete our course, so that you can share your accomplishment with potential employers and recruiters on LinkedIn.
