Today, across the Church, we celebrate Education Sunday — a day to give thanks for the gift of education and for all those who help young people to learn, grow and flourish.

We were delighted to take 10 students today to join the Apostolic Nuncio for Midday Prayer. This special occasion gave our students the opportunity to pray alongside fellow Catholics from across the Archdiocese of Birmingham and experience the wider life of the Church. It was a lovely opportunity for our students to meet Archbishop Miguel Marury Buendia and Archbishop Bernard Longley. A memorable and faith-filled day for all involved.

Year 7's First Day - Friday 4th September

Friday marked a very special day as we opened our doors and welcomed our first students into St. John Henry Newman Catholic School. Year 7 had a great day making friends, meeting teachers, exploring the school and beginning the first part of their induction programme. Information has been sent to parents/carers about how to access some of our parental apps, along with key reminders about uniform standards; please check this information carefully.

We are celebrating a fantastic set of GCSE results that reflect the hard work, dedication and achievements of our students. We are incredibly proud of every student and the progress they have made throughout their time with us.
This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, with students moving on to a wide range of pathways, including our own Sixth Form, colleges, apprenticeships and further education. Whatever path they choose, we are delighted to see them taking their next steps with ambition and confidence.
Their success is a reflection not only of their determination and resilience, but also of the support and encouragement provided by our dedicated staff, families and wider school community.
At our school, we believe that everyone is made for greatness, and today's achievements are a wonderful reflection of that belief. Congratulations to every student on their success, and we wish them every happiness and success as they begin the next stage of their journey.

We are celebrating a fantastic set of Year 13 exam results that reflect the hard work, dedication and achievements of our students. We are incredibly proud of all those taking their next steps into higher education and professional careers. From prestigious universities to a highly competitive degree apprenticeship, this year's cohort has demonstrated resilience, ambition and excellence.
Students will be pursuing their ambitions across a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, medicine, law, literature, business, cyber security and the social sciences. Their success reflects not only their determination, but also the support of staff, families and our wider school community.
