2 days to go until our Two Tone launch! 🎉
Students are diving into the exciting world of Two Tone and discovering its deep connections to Coventry’s culture through their subject lessons. 🌟
In Geography, they’re exploring how migration helped shape the rich cultural mix that gave rise to Two Tone music. In English, students are analysing powerful and thought-provoking songs such as Doesn’t Make It Alright, Three Minute Hero, and A Letter to You Rudy. Meanwhile, in Technology, creativity is in full swing as students study the iconic Rude boy and girl style and design their own modern Two Tone-inspired outfits.
We are incredibly excited to see students engaging with and celebrating Coventry’s vibrant cultural heritage in such dynamic and inspiring ways! 🎶

13th June marked the start of Drowning Prevention Week, a national campaign by the Royal Life Saving Society UK. The campaign focuses on water safety education for children, young people and adults and raises awareness of the dangers of open-water swimming.
We are committed to raising awareness of the serious risks involved and emphasising the importance of the Water Safety Code:
Stop and Think – assess risks before entering water.
Stay Together – never swim alone.
Float – use the float to live technique if unexpectedly in cold water
Call 999 – seek help immediately if in danger.
We have attached simple and helpful resources for you to read through: https://tinyurl.com/bddp39bm
For more information and resources, visit the Royal Life Saving Society UK’s website: https://www.rlss.org.uk/
Open water is not a safe place to swim.
We must work together as a city to reinforce this message, ensuring children, young people and adults across Coventry know the dangers and have the knowledge to make safer choices.

Miss Brennan in Careers needs your help!
I am running an event called 'Meet the Employer/Speed Careers' on the 25th June 2025 from 9am till 12pm.
The event involves our Year 8 students who will get the opportunity to speak to Business Professionals from various walks of life.
During previous years they have spoken to Pilots; Paramedics; Author; Blacksmith: Tree Surgeons; Doctor ; Nurses; a Welder; a Reverend; Sports Coach; Dog Handler.....do you see where I'm going with this!?
I would be delighted if there was anyone out there amongst our Parents or Alumni who may be able to help me. Do you have an exciting/different job? Do you wear a particular uniform? Have you got something to bring that demonstrates your role?
You will spend the morning talking to small groups of children about what you do - and hopefully inspire the next generation..
We run this event annually and it's a great success!
If you can help me, please email me on [email protected]
I can't wait to hear from you!
