Had some fun this morning back at delivering to their lead and junior interns on Olympic Weightlifting 🏋️‍♀️
Always value an opportunity to give back to this department and do some teaching.
We discussed potential differences in technical models to the lifts, when to utilise them and obviously how to execute them. That’s a whole lot to fit into 2 hours but we just about managed it

Are you dreading pre-season testing? If you haven’t done it already, the Bronco is looming!
Why do we put athletes through this test and what does MAS mean?
Well quite simply MAS is a way of quantifying your fitness and so testing at the start and the end of pre-season can tell your coaches if you’ve improved or not.
If you then have the means and ability to do so you can use MAS as a method of prescription for conditioning based sessions. For example you can prescribe a percentage of MAS you would like you’re athletes to train at for a particular session. (However you generally need a method of monitoring your speed at m/s and so usually requires a GPS unit).
