Anyconnect VPN is changing.
“If you use our VPN to connect to University systems, then we’d like to let you know that we’ll change our VPN provider from Cisco AnyConnect to a replacement VPN product called Global Protect in mid-May.

We’ll share instructions and guides on how to use Global Protect before the change happens. You don’t need to do anything yet. If you currently use Cisco AnyConnect, please continue to do so until we announce the change date and how to use Global Protect.”

Roblox security incident: Students and staff required to reset passwords immediately
Colleagues who have a Roblox account are required to reset their passwords immediately.

A security incident has occurred which means students and staff are required to reset their Roblox password immediately.​​​​​​​

If your Roblox password is used to access university systems, you will need to reset the passwords used to access those systems too.

Digital Services are pleased to announce the introduction of ‘Felix’, their new virtual agent for staff and students. Felix can answer questions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and help resolve your issues faster. You can request services, report faults, find relevant knowledge articles, and manage appointments, using Felix.

Felix is available via the Digital Services Self-Service Portal, Microsoft Teams, and our Now Mobile App. The Now Mobile app is available on both Android (minimum version 7) and iOS devices (minimum version 13) for mobile and tablet use. Please note that Felix is still learning, so please provide feedback after chatting, which will improve responses to questions asked.

There is currently an issue with Microsoft Teams that is affecting meetings. For workarounds you can still use the call function. Microsoft is currently investigating the issue.

OpenAthens Maintenance

Our authentication partner OpenAthens will be performing maintenance work on Tuesday 16th March between 7am – 9am GMT. As a result the following services will be subject to disruption including AULA, TalentConnect, Locate, Bibliu, Plannon, Linkedin Learning, CUSU website, DreamSpark, Question Mark and Apprentrix. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience as a result of this interruption.

There is scheduled maintenance to carry out essential core network engineering on 16th March between 07:00-08:00. During this period, we expect 2 full-network-wide outages, affecting all users of Coventry University (local and remote sites, as well as Cisco Anyconnect VPN users) that last around 30 seconds each time. By 08:00 everything is expected to resume to normal operation, and no further impact is planned.
