Super simple setup for our youngest mindee today although I've got a feeling the older ones will enjoy it too!
I've hidden the paint stampers under the red and yellow materials for us to find.

All set up for the start of our Chinese New Year celebrations this week. 🐉
We watched London's NYE fireworks display today.
We talked about the noises they made as well as what colours and shapes we could see.
We pretended to be fireworks by crouching down low then jumping up high making whizzing and whooping noises.
We made our own firework pictures using straws and paint and made them into calendars for the children to take home.
A really simple sensory setup today. Empty biscuit tins, beads and baubles.
We've spent ages filling and emptying the tins.
The house lights up, Santa wobbles and Percy Pig skates round and round.
It's been very well played with this morning! 🎄 X

Their favourite activity was helping the baby dinosaurs hatch from their 'eggs'.
We started our Easter Crafts today with an old favourite.
Lots of talk about colours, shapes, sizes and patterns.
Simple idea but very effective.
Some of our Chinese New Year activities.
We've decorated lanterns, coloured in Dragon Mobiles, looked at the colour Red, read some lovely books and had a food tasting.
We've watched PowerPoints telling us how it's celebrated, and have learnt the importance of dragons, fireworks and red envelopes.
It's been very exciting.
This simple setup has been enjoyed for ages this morning.
We have talked about colours and spiders, used our magnifying glass to make things appear bigger and smaller, used the tweezers to pick up thin and bulky items and used our magnifying glass to search the garden for real life spiders.
We didn't find any but there were lots of spider's webs for us to investigate.
We then made our very own pom pom spiders to take home.
The Autumn Display is all set for the little ones to explore and enhance this term.
We will be collecting leaves on our nature walks to try leaf painting, exploring Autumn colours, decorating wooden leaves, making bird feeders, exploring Autumn fruits and vegetables too.
These are just some of the things we will be getting upto this Autumn 🍁
Loving this new addition to our collection that I won courtesy of on Facebook. The children are going to love it.
Lots of learning potential including colour, size, shape, sorting, fine motor skills and more.

The older children enjoyed decorating their own ceramic bird feeders today before filling them with meal worms. They were very excited to hang them up when they got home.
Today on Springwatch Live we watched as the baby Bluetits fledged their nest and enjoyed watching the Woodpecker feeding their babies.
This week the children are showing a huge interest in the Birds feeding and nesting in our garden.
We have set up Springwatch Live to watch all sorts of birds nesting including Woodpeckers and Great T**s and have done our own bird watch in the garden.
This will be followed up with making and decorating our own bird feeders and taking our bird spotting lists to the park.
