Learners Loving Summer with PET-Xi!
This week kicked off Summer with a bang at our head office where, in collaboration with Coventry & Warwickshire councils, we are running our engaging and exciting Coventry Holiday Activities and Food Programme - HAF. We are running two variants of our course – one aimed at young entrepreneurs and the other for the gamers and coders of this world!

The Den is a PET Xi Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme designed for young people aged 13–16. It introduces participants to entrepreneurship through a series of interactive, practical, and engaging business challenges.

Techtonic is a PET Xi Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme for young people aged 13–16, designed to develop coding, digital, and artificial intelligence skills through a hands-on, project-based learning experience.

99% of our PET-Xi Training “NEETs” turned up for their GCSE exam. The national average for this cohort is estimated at 20%. Our “secret” to this success:

💖 ALL staff including non teaching staff arrive from 7am on exam day
💖 Free hot breakfast provided
💖 Free transport provided
💖 Free lunch provided
💖 All tutors accompany them on the bus and all stay outside during the exam
💖 Staff all trained to pick up & sort ALL last minute issues eg lost I.D./panics etc
💖 ALL staff SEND/trauma-informed trained

💖 Motivational talks on the day
💖 ALL being there after for support/laughs
💖 Great support all year long

Busy period in schools is in full swing!!! Fabulous to see our wonderful trainers in action! Here’s some memories of “FEEL GOOD FRIDAY” this day in 2016 when all the trainers would come back at the end of the week for laughs 💖🥰 I will always miss the giants whose shoulders we’re built on though and they’re always in my heart 💖

Happy Mother’s Day to the mums who get judged or forgotten today … to the solo teen mums, the ones who often get judged before they even got started or who have children they miss today because they are in social care despite trying their very best.

Also to the (often solo) mums who are constantly fighting for their children — the mums the world calls too much, too loud, too difficult. The mums sitting in meetings, speaking up, refusing to let their kids be misunderstood or written off until they find the help they need.

Here’s to them … the ones who keep going and keep showing up despite the odds. Legends! We’re here to help … “it takes a village to bring up a child”. 💖🙌

Would you be brave enough to commit a year of your life to something you have a 3.6% chance of achieving? 80 of our young learners are!!!

NEETs apparently have a 3.6% chance of success in getting both their Grade 4+ Maths and English GCSE at retake.

At PET-Xi Training we are already at success of 71% on the mocks results alone with still lots of revision to go!!
