We believe we all have the right to feel safe all the time and we can talk with someone about anything even if it is awful or small. What we do is practical.
We provide education, training, mentoring, youth & community services to connect, enable, make memories and change lives. Creative Optimistic Visions (COV) is a community interest company (CIC) working within the third sector to promote protective behaviours to all within the communities and education facilities. C.O.V has been a Three times UnLtd award winner. Also winning the UnLtd award for ou
tstanding personal achievement and growth, and Protective Behaviours trainer of the year 2015. Getting policies and procedures in place so you can protect people’s health, wellbeing and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect is fundamental to the care of others. But those things in themselves can’t help you and those in your care to cope with victimisation and abuse. Coping with these often unseen, unexpressed experiences is difficult and challenging, both for staff and, especially, children and young people. The Protective Behaviours Process is a recognised, effective practice to educate and empower individuals to realise their right to feel safe and feel confident to be able talk with someone about anything, even it is awful or small. Yet, not all practitioners are the same. Our practitioners have real-life experience ensuring greater empathy. These insights allow us to work around the needs of those we train and support. Our programmes are imaginative and down to earth, and feedback is always positive. Creative Optimistic Visions was awarded trainer of the year in 2015 by our national body, the Protective Behaviours Consortium with whom we are the only endorsed protective behaviours practitioner in Coventry and Warwickshire. We know this stuff is tricky and hard. We give staff and children and young people the confidence to cope so that, until victimisation and abuse ends, they have the means to speak out. What we stand for...
We are well grounded and hands-on. The difference we make is in real life. We know people we work with see us as down-to-earth and approachable. After all, our credibility is in helping people cope with things, however small, or awful. Because of this we must speak out and share our stories so that we’re heard and inspire confidence. We want our confidence to be infectious, helping others speak out, too. And just like our name, we believe we can only change things if we’re imaginative and positive, working for brighter futures, adapting what we do to help us reach as many people as possible. Until victimisation and abuse ends, we’ll give staff, and children and young people the confidence to cope. The dream is big, and with determination and hard work, COV will strive promote personal safety with a practical down to earth approach. Our projects incorporate a simple, flexible and effective approach, which is inclusive and accessible to everyone. As a result, our learners empower themselves in making safe and positive life choices, and will also have the knowledge to locate and use appropriate further knowledge during their life journeys. We also offer the Protective Behaviours Foundation Level training course for people who work with vulnerable adults, young people and children so they can practice Protective behaviours within their work. After completing this course, professionals will walk away with strategies they can apply to make their own lives and relationships safer and happier. For more information on anything to do with COV, whether it be course information, working with us perhaps, please do not hesitate to look at the website or contact us at [email protected]
Thank you very much for taking the time to look at our page, it is very much appreciated.
