Last but not least in the Officer introductions... here's Enaya Nihal, who you voted from Vice President of Welfare & Campaigns, to your new SU President! ๐
"Oh, hi! I'm Enaya, your SU President. I'm the primary representative of the student body to the University and external parties. My job is to ensure that your voice is heard at all levels, and to make sure that we are being transparent about what we do (and what we can do) here at the SU."
Enaya's fun fact: "I can speak 5 languages!" ๐
In her role, Enaya will try her best to:
๐ซต Make our SU processes more transparent and accessible for all by empowering YOUR voice
๐ท Tackle the impact of the Cost-of-Living crisis by focusing on making essentials, food, transport, accommodation, sports clubs and societies more affordable
๐ Make our students feel Safer at Warwick, both on and off campus through safe transport at night, better lighting and a permanent welfare stand at the Copper Rooms
๐ช Focus on Student Wellbeing and strengthening our support structures, especially for International, Part-time and Disabled Students
๐ Making sure that your education is your choice by pushing for self-certs across the board, accessibility to buildings, timetabling and assessment methods
๐ซถ Continue the initiatives she started as VP Welfare and Campaigns last year, such as Safer Warwick and the Free Breakfast Club

Say hello to Alijah Taha (he/him), who'll be your new Vice President for Postgraduates from September! ๐
"As your VP Postgraduate, my primary mission is to support postgraduate students in every aspect of their university life. I will liaise closely with the university to ensure your voices are heard and your concerns addressed."
Alijah's fun fact: "I've been told that the alpaca in my manifesto picture looks like my twin!"
In his role, Alijah hopes to:

"As VP Democracy & Development, I will be working closely with all areas of the student body to make sure they are listened to and represented by the SU."

"As VP Sports, my role is primarily to represent and support our student-run clubs within the SU, in co-ordination with the full-time staff in the Membership team."
Louis's fun fact: "I had a cameo in Heartstopper! I was in the rugby team"

Meet Muneeba Amjad, (she/they), your new Vice President for Education! ๐
"As VP Education, I represent students on all academic related matters, I'm the Student-Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC) lead, and I'm the point of contact in the SU for academic matters."
Muneeba's fun fact: "I have a talent for untangling things! Wires, yarn, string, give them to me and I'll untangle them for you!" ๐งถ
In their role, Muneeba hopes to:

Give a warm welcome to Joe Stanley (he/him), who will be your new Vice President for Societies from September! ๐ญ
"As Vice President for Societies, I will be the first contact for societies at Warwick. My main job is to represent lots of different kinds of societies and to make sure they are equipped and be able to function as effectively as possible."
Fun fact about Joe: "I have mixed dominance in my hands! I am right-handed with one handed tasks such as writing, and left handed when performing two handed tasks such as batting in cricket or using a knife and fork." ๐
In his role, Joe hopes to:
๐ Push for greater affordability and accessibility for society members
๐ค Improve bureaucratic processes
๐ฃ๏ธ Improve communication between societies and the SU

๐ขThank you to all the University of Warwick finalists who took part in this year's National Student Survey.๐ We are delighted to announce that the Students' Union received an overall satisfaction score of 69.22, which is almost 5 percentage points higher than last year!๐
This means we have moved up 22 places in the table for all Students' Unions, and up 4 places to 13th amongst those from Russell Group universities.๐ Student Voice performed incredibly well, achieving a score of 78.38, which puts them in 2nd place in the league table of all similar services at Russell Group SUs.๐ฅ
Congratulations also to the University, who achieved their highest overall satisfaction score for 5 years!๐
The Students' Union is run by students, for students, and our success in the NSS is built on the incredible work we do in collaboration with our members. Thank you to all the Warwick students who have got involved with the SU in anyway this year.๐
