🔥Did you miss us? A very warm welcome to Warwick for those of you who have just joined, and welcome back for everyone returning! We hope that you have all taken the break to recharge because we have plenty of classes, socials and dancing events lined up for you this year ⭐️🤩

We are starting off the term strong with our freshers week schedule which is a perfect mix of free taster sessions, cute social events and of course the societies fair! 🙌

1️⃣ Our taster sessions are completely FREE! We are offering beginners level classes in both salsa and bachata in the Westwood Dance Studio which is a great chance to try out our society, although we are sure you'll be back before long 👀 You DON'T need to bring a partner to dance with and require absolutely no prior dance experience at all 💖 just wear something comfortable and turn up!

2️⃣ Come and meet us at the societies fair which will be held in the sports hub from 10am-6pm this Thursday. There's even a chance to win 10 FREE classes on us so definitely come pay our stall a visit, we would love to meet all of you!! 🥰

3️⃣ We also have great social events lined up! We will be social dancing in the Piazza this Tuesday, having a fun meet the exec event in T-bar on Thursday and organising the cutest picnic in Leamington with music, dance and snacks. Freshers are also more than welcome to turn up! 💛💛

❗️*Note that the salsa taster session on Saturday is part of Warwick Tap's annual Day of Dance and will be held in Avon Drama Studio. All of the salsa and bachata tasters that we offer will be identical to each other so you can come along to any of them at any point during the week!

THE LAST WEEK!!!! I’m crying, you’re crying, how did this year come to an end all too soon 😭😮‍💨.

A very simple week reverting back to our basics 🤍 - just one salsa class at the regular 7pm on Monday followed by social dancing in the copper rooms AND the piazza afterwards to send off our leavers once and for all 🥺

Thank you so much to everyone who supported salsa society this year, we have really watched it grow into the most AMAZING 😍 community of passionate and supportive dancers and every one of you added your own special touch. 🌟🌟

The penultimate week is upon us already 🥺 but don't be disheartened! We've got a packed week of salsa fun to keep you and the salsa-less summer blues away 😤

Monday kicks off with our usual Salsa class 7-9pm in the copper rooms, with it being the last class for many of our well loved members (I'm not crying, you're crying 😭) with an emotional social dance to follow!

On Thursday we have a special Charity event! Including Bluetooth, leads and follows switching and more!! Yes you read that right, if you're equally confused what Bluetooth has to do with Salsa then come along ;) more details to follow!

Friday we have our LAST bachata class of the term 😭 too many lasts, I can't take much more of it 🥺 6-8pm in the copper rooms with T-bar to follow!

Saturday rewards our members who are so committed they haven't left for the summer just yet! The end of year picnic 🥳 come along for snacks, cute vibes and sun 🥰 cryfield fields from 1:30 to 4:30pm

We hope exam season has treated you well!! 📚 Though, let’s be honest, most of us were so busy with salsa 💃, we kinda forgot about our degrees! 🎓

If you’re looking to blow off some post-exam steam, come and join your new social secs’ first SKOOL DAYZ CIRCLE in Kelseys!! 🎉🍹 Full of fun, passion and, of course, a healthy (?) amount of drinking, this will be the perfect end to the academic year. 🎓🥳

The night will commence at 8pm in Kelseys bar in Leamington Spa so make sure to come at 7.30 ⏰ and leave enough time to purchase your preferred beverages 🍻, otherwise you will be punished for tardiness! ⌛ Then, if you wish to continue the night of fun, join us in the Copper Rooms on campus for the iconic Skool Dayz! 🏫 Few members of the exec already got their tickets!! 🎟️

Also, we will be adhering to a strict uniform code, so make sure to dig out your old school uniform attire to avoid detention! 🏫👔

Piazza social dancing is back this week on Wednesday ☀️

On Thursday we have our fantastic ex-president Tanya teaching some pro Kizomba moves in a FREE workshop so we better see you there 🤍🤍

I hope everyone had so much fun in T-Bar after a very bachata intense social dancing session, I know I myself enjoyed a massive fishbowl 🐠🥣 (apple, apple&mango flavour would recommend).

Your new social secs Erin and Aslı are more than ready with their first OFFICIAL OFFICIAL SOCIAL: BAR CRAWL IN LEAM!! 🥳🥳. We have crafted some spicy and cute challenges for you to complete with your teams while you get to know your new exec members and enjoy the bars of leamington. The team with the most points in the end wins a secret prize 👀👀.

To make sure you are part of a team, (the sheep separated from the flock is eaten by the wolf 🐏🐏), make sure to sign up using the google form before Thursday 5 pm.

Don’t wanna drink alcohol in the exam season? Firstly, can’t relate. But no worries, we got you covered. You don’t have to drink and if numbers allow you might get yourself a sober team and our one and only social secretary Erin, lovely vice-president Rory, and the person with the most perfect bangs, beginners performance coordinator Daria will be sober with you the whole night.

Be in the Upper Parade at 7.45 or be gone! If you are coming from campus, there will be exec members to travel with you.

Here’s the schedule we have lined up for Week 9: Classes & Socials. 💃🏻

On Monday we have our regular All Levels Salsa Class from 7 - 9 PM in the Copper Rooms however this class will be extra special since we will be holding elections an hour earlier so if you’re member and would like to vote please show up at 6PM and not at 7PM and on Friday from 6 - 8 PM in the Copper Rooms as per usual we will be having a Bachata and Salsa Partner-work Styling Class to get you in shape for Birmingham Ball! 🤩

Now onto socials, it’s Birmingham Ball week!!! On Saturday, 11th March everyone who has bought a ticket will be heading to DCL’s Birmingham Ball with us for a full day of workshops, performances, social dancing and more! 🥳

Our CHARITY DANCEATHON is tomorrow!! Who's excited? 🙋🙋🙋

Here's all the sessions we have lined up for you tomorrow! Any non-specified slot will be open for social dancing, but we will be playing music non-stop, so come down and dance whenever you want!

We are raising money for Helping Hands, a fantastic local charity which helps vulnerable people. Class prices will vary (ranging between a few pounds), so make sure you bring cash.

It’s time for the second circle of the term!This one will take place on Saturday, 25th Feb at 7pm, we’ll be heading to our usual spot Kelsey’s in Leamington Spa to circle, drink, play games and dance.

Note:
- Drinking is completely optional but if you do want to please bring cash as Kelsey’s does not accept card
- Anyone planning to run for Social Secretary will also have to inform (one of our current social sec’s) prior to Saturday so that you can have a trial run of what hopefully your future role would be like!
