Hill farm playcare ltd

We used our gross motor skills to move planks and stools to create a road bridge for our big cars. We helped each other to place them in the right places and took turns driving our cars over the bridge.

We have been using our manipulative skills 🖐and our maths skills 1️⃣2️⃣we scooped pasta in to bowls and counted how many scoops it took to fill the bowls. We sorted the pasta by shape and colour, counting how many of each we could find. There was lots of lovely discussion and sharing of the resources 😃
Next we used magnets/magnetic fishing rods to catch numbered sea creatures. We counted the spots on them and put them in numerical order. There was treasure to find/count and put in the treasure chests. We helped our friends find the numbered creatures they needed and shared the treasure we found.
Our story box this week slowly babies' we enjoyed using the toy owls to retell the story with our friends.

Yesterday afternoon we heard a strange noise in our room . After lots of discussion about what it was we decided it was coming from outside and must be rain🌧 so we went to look. It was hailstones 🌨 we watched them bouncing in our tuff spot and caught some in our hands. There was lots of excited discussion about what hailstones were and where they came from. A lot of excitement and learning 😀

We printed with mashers 🥔we noticed they were all the same oval shape but left different prints. There was lots of discussion about why this was and which we liked best. We counted how many prints we made and what colours they were. Some children remembered seeing their parents use a mashers and talked about what they had mashed -potatoes/swede/sweet potatoes.

We have been busy making surprises for mothers day 😀we used our fine motor skills, glueing, printing and painting.

Today we put on our aprons, rolled up our sleeves and had fun in the water. We used different sized spoons and funnels to fill large and small containers. Then we added some guttering and children pored water down the pipes - they said it was like rain🌨 and started to sing incy windy 🕷 so we added spiders for them to wash out of the pipes. Later we read 'Ahh spider'
