Our after-school clubs are now available to book through ParentPay and will begin week commencing Monday 21st September.

We have worked hard to keep the cost of our clubs as affordable as possible. Our prices remain very competitive compared with clubs outside of school and many other school-based clubs, where charges can be up to £6 per session.

Places are limited, so please log in to ParentPay to view the clubs available to your child and make a booking.

We hope the children enjoy the range of opportunities on offer this term!

🌟 What a brilliant first two days back at Parkgate! 🌟

It has been fantastic to welcome everyone back through the gates and see the school full of energy, smiles and excitement again.

We have been incredibly proud of how well our children have settled back into school life. Classrooms have been busy, routines have quickly clicked back into place and, most importantly, there has already been some brilliant learning taking place.

There have been so many positives to celebrate in just two days – children showing kindness to one another, embracing new classes and teachers, demonstrating our Parkgate expectations and approaching the new year with real enthusiasm.

A huge thank you to our families too. The start of a new school year brings lots of new routines and information, and we really appreciate your support in helping us get the year off to such a positive start.

If the first two days are anything to go by, we have an exciting year ahead of us! We can't wait to see what our children achieve, experience and enjoy over the coming weeks and months.

For now, after a busy first couple of days, we hope everyone has a restful weekend. Enjoy the break and we look forward to seeing you all again on Monday!

🏊‍♂️☀️ You know you’re in the summer term when the swimming pool arrives! ☀️🏊‍♀️

Today saw the exciting arrival of our swimming pool, which can only mean one thing – swimming lessons are just around the corner! 🚛💦

We are delighted to continue our fantastic partnership with ELITE Sports uk and ELITE Swimming UK - Pools To Schools who will be delivering high-quality swimming sessions for our children. This ongoing collaboration helps us provide valuable sporting opportunities whilst developing important life skills. 🌟

Swimming is not only a great form of exercise that promotes fitness, confidence and wellbeing, but it is also a vital life skill. Learning how to stay safe in and around water is an important part of keeping children safe, and our lessons will include key water safety messages alongside swimming development. 🏊‍♀️🛟🌊

Lessons are due to begin next week and we know the children will be excited to get started! 😃

Families of children who will be taking part in swimming lessons will receive a separate letter with further information shortly. 📧

⚠️ A polite reminder that the swimming pool and marquee area are strictly out of bounds before and after school. Please help us keep everyone safe by ensuring children do not enter or play around the marquee at drop-off and collection times.

☀️🌡️ Hot Weather Reminder for Parents & Carers 🌡️☀️

With the warm weather continuing and higher temperatures forecast throughout this week, we would like to remind everyone of the measures we are taking to help keep children safe, comfortable, and happy during the school day. 😊

✅ Children will be encouraged to drink plenty of water throughout the day – please ensure your child brings a clearly named water bottle to school. 💧
✅ Outdoor activities will be adapted where necessary, with children spending time in shaded areas and avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during the hottest parts of the day. 🌳☂️
✅ Please apply sun cream to your child before school and provide a sun hat or cap if possible. 🧴🧢
✅ Classrooms will be kept as cool as possible with windows, blinds, and ventilation managed throughout the day. 🌬️

👕 To help children stay cool and comfortable, they may come to school wearing their PE kit for the remainder of the hot weather if they feel more comfortable doing so. 👟

Thank you for your support in helping us keep everyone safe during the warmer weather. We will continue to monitor conditions and make any necessary adjustments throughout the week. ☀️😊
