🎪✨ What a Night at the Circus! ✨🎪

Despite a little bit of wet weather trying to make an appearance, nothing could dampen the spirits of everyone who joined us for an unforgettable evening under the Big Top! 🌦️🎪

From the moment the show began, we were treated to an incredible display of talent, laughter and entertainment. The hilarious comedy acts had the audience in stitches 🤣, while the breathtaking aerial acrobatics left us looking skyward in amazement 😲✨. The strength, balance, skill and courage demonstrated throughout the performance were truly remarkable 💪🎭.

Add in the excitement, the atmosphere, the smell of fresh popcorn 🍿, and the sound of laughter echoing around the tent, and it was a magical evening for all ages. 🌟

A huge thank you must go to Happy’s Circus for bringing such a fantastic show to our school and helping create memories that will last for a long time. 🎪👏

We would also like to thank our amazing staff team, whose hard work behind the scenes helped make the event possible. From planning and preparation to refreshments, ticket sales and ensuring everything ran smoothly, your support was invaluable. ❤️👏

Finally, thank you to all the families, friends and members of our community who joined us. Seeing so many people come together to share in the joy, wonder and laughter made the evening truly special. 😊🎉

🎪✨ The excitement is building at Parkgate! ✨🎪

The Big Top is up, the lights are shining, the sound checks have been completed, and everything is almost ready for what promises to be a fantastic evening! 🎭🎶🎪

Our school field has been transformed once again into a real circus venue and there is a genuine buzz around the site as final preparations are made. The weather is holding off… just about! 🌤️🤞 The smell of freshly popped popcorn is already drifting through the air 🍿, adding to the excitement as we count down to showtime.

🌧️ Wet Weather Arrangements 🌧️

With the possibility of some showers this evening, we have now moved to our wet weather contingency plan to help keep everyone as comfortable as possible. Doors open at 4.00pm with the big top opening at 5.30pm to get everybody seated!

➡️ Please enter via the main school office entrance (Morland Road will be open at the end of the show!)
➡️ Proceed through the dining hall
➡️ Exit onto the playground
➡️ Follow the route up to the field and the Big Top 🎪

🍿☕ Refreshments will be available both in the school hall and outside the Big Top itself.

🎟️ If you haven’t got your tickets yet, don’t worry! There are still a limited number available on the door this evening, so there’s still time to join us for all the fun, laughter and spectacular entertainment.

The lights are on, the performers are ready, the popcorn is popping, and all we need now is you! 🎭🤹‍♀️🍿✨

🎪✨ The Circus Has Arrived at Parkgate! ✨🎪

As promised, the circus has officially arrived at Parkgate and the big top is currently being erected on our school grounds! 🤩🎭

Tomorrow evening, families will have the opportunity to enjoy a truly spectacular live performance right on their doorstep. From breathtaking acrobatics 🤸‍♀️ and incredible balancing acts to jaw-dropping circus skills 🎪⭐, this promises to be an unforgettable experience for all ages.

🌍 These are world-class performers whose acts are seen by audiences around the world. Opportunities to watch live entertainment of this calibre in person are rare, making this a fantastic opportunity for our community to experience something truly special.

🎟️ We still have a limited number of tickets available for parents, family members and friends who would like to come along and enjoy the spectacle.

💷 Better still, a ticket to this amazing live event costs less than a trip to the cinema for many families – offering an affordable opportunity to see world-class performers live and up close.

Please get in touch as soon as possible if you would like to secure one of the remaining tickets. Tickets will be available between 11am and 12pm from the school office or failing that, remaining tickets will be available at the entrance. Please note that once the Big Top is at capacity, no more tickets will be available.

🎉 And just like that…another half term comes to an end at Parkgate Primary School! 🌟

What a memorable few weeks it has been across school. A huge congratulations to our incredible Year 6 children who approached their SATs week with maturity, resilience and determination — we could not be prouder of the attitude and effort they showed throughout. 🌟📝👏

At the same time, our Year 5 children represented the school brilliantly during their residential visit to Dol-y-Moch. From outdoor adventures to teamwork, independence and lots of unforgettable memories, they were an absolute credit to themselves, their families and our school community. 🏕️🌄😊

We would also like to thank all of our staff and families for your continued support during another busy and successful half term. 💙

📅 A reminder that Monday 1st June is an INSET Day, so school will be closed to children on this day. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday 2nd June. 🏫

That’s right… a REAL ‘Big Top’ circus is coming to our very own school field on Monday 1st June! 🤩🐘🎭

For one night only, our grounds will be transformed into a spectacular circus experience filled with excitement, entertainment and unforgettable memories for children, families and the local community! 🌟

We are proud to announce that we now have our very own Young Interpreters.
Our pupils have successfully completed their Young Interpreters training after taking part in 4 fantastic sessions. During the programme, they used their superpower language skills to help new pupils and families feel welcomed, supported, and settled into our school community.

The children are fed, watered and toileted. Our stop-off is complete and everyone is back on the road heading for home! 🚍💨

We’ll keep you updated on our arrival time, looking likely to be nearer 1.00pm depending on traffic😊🏡

🌟Dol y Moch class of 2026!🌟

🎉A final ‘Good morning’ from Dol y Moch☀️🧳

You may notice in this morning’s final video, alongside the familiar sounds of nature, rolling suitcases in the background as the children begin preparing for departure from the centre after an unforgettable few days away! 🧳✨ There is a real mix of excitement, pride and tiredness this morning as everyone packs up, shares memories and gets ready for the journey home.

After a fantastic final evening 🎉😊, we are ending the trip on a real high. The children spent the evening celebrating their adventures together, enjoying time with their friends and reflecting on everything they have achieved throughout the week.

This trip has been an enormous success from start to finish 🌟. The children have shown incredible resilience, independence and teamwork during every activity and challenge 💪🤝. Many have stepped well outside their comfort zones, trying new experiences with courage, determination and positivity. We have seen children encouraging one another, developing new friendships, solving problems together and growing in confidence every single day 😊👏

We have also been incredibly lucky with the weather ☀️🌤️, which has allowed the children to make the most of every activity and enjoy plenty of time outdoors in beautiful conditions. The sunshine has certainly added to the experience and helped create so many special memories together 🌳🏕️

From tackling adventurous activities with enthusiasm 🧗‍♂️🚣‍♀️, to showing excellent behaviour and responsibility around the centre, the children have been a credit to themselves, their families and the school ⭐ Staff have been so impressed by the kindness, maturity and positive attitudes shown throughout the week ❤️

There have been countless achievements — from overcoming fears and persevering through challenges, to supporting friends and demonstrating outstanding teamwork 🏅👏 It has been wonderful to watch the children grow in confidence and create memories that will stay with them for a long time 📸✨

We are incredibly proud of every single one of them ❤️ and are looking forward to bringing home lots of tired but very happy children later today! 🚌😊 Class of 2026…it’s been a blast!!
