So you’re a fan of Antiques Auction programs on TV, Then I’m sure you’re familiar with the name Charles Hanson, well don’t miss our opportunity to meet the man himself, as he hosts The Coventry Watch Museums fund raising Auction on April 10th at the Ricoh Arena, tickets for the event are just £5 each with all profits raised from ticket sales and auctions on the night going to much needed funding for the museums renovation to help save not only the museum but also help preserve three of the last remaining old court houses of Coventry.
Charles Hanson has a wealth of knowledge about antiques and auctioneering and will give a talk about his experiences, followed by him valuing items taken to the event by members of the public. He will then demonstrate his skills with the gavel by auctioning some items which have been donated by local individuals, members of The Museum and businesses, these include quality items as diverse as a silver pocket watch, a hot stone massage and use of a holiday flat.
Don’t worry if you can’t get down to the museum to purchase your ticket in advance as tickets will be available on the night at the door, or you can buy direct from the Museums website at www.coventrywatchmuseum.com.
