🌱 Year One had a fantastic day of gardening to launch their new topic on plants! 🪴

The children explored what seeds need to grow, learned about different plants and planted their own sunflower seeds. They also worked together to repot tomatoes, aubergines, courgettes and flowers. They demonstrated great teamwork and care. We can’t wait to watch their plants grow over the coming weeks! 🌻🌿

🧬 Science Club 🧪

Our Year Two children loved exploring friction as part of their weekly co-curricular club. Using the magic of a balloon, they made their ‘paper people’ move by transferring the energy! 🎈✨

Co-curricular clubs are an important part of life at Bablake Pre-Prep with a range of clubs to support children’s wider development, whilst also having lots of fun! 🎭🧑‍🍳🎶

🌱 Blossoming Gardeners 🪴

Our Reception children have developed a love of gardening! To further inspire them, our outdoor role play has become a garden centre where the children have taken on different roles, developing skills across the curriculum. 🎭

Supported by our fantastic Parents’ Association, the children walked (in the rain) to our local garden centre where they selected their own plants, bought them with coins and then planted them in our wonderful, new wooden planters. 🪏🌺

🌻 ‘There’s A Sunflower In My Supper’ 🐮

Our Year One children wowed their audience in the Bablake School Theatre with their wonderful play! 🎭

With confident delivery of lines, fantastic singing and excellent acting, we were amazed by the confidence shown by our pupils and how this has grown over the last year. 🎵🎶

It was an incredible end to a very busy half term! 💫

Our Year Two children are developing their skipping skills in preparation for Sports Day! 🥇

Showing fantastic resilience and determination, they are building their confidence while improving their speed, coordination and accuracy. ✨

💛💙 Parachute Playtime Fun ❤️💚

The playground was filled with laughter and excitement as the children happily played with the parachute. They worked together to lift it high into the air, run underneath it and watch it float gently back down, creating a fun and cheerful atmosphere for everyone.
