Nursery had a fantastic visit from a Police Officer this week 🚓✨

The children learnt all about how the police help to keep us safe, asked lots of thoughtful questions, and enjoyed finding out more about this important vocation 💙✨

There was great excitement as the children tried on police uniforms, explored the police car, and even had the chance to sit inside! 🚨🤩✨

A wonderful hands-on experience that inspired curiosity, learning, and plenty of smiles 😊✨

Year 3 were so inspired by their learning during Vocations Week that they wanted to show their appreciation for those who dedicate their lives to helping others 🤩✨

The children thoughtfully wrote thank you cards to members of our healthcare service, expressing their gratitude for all they do to care for and support others 🩺💙✨

The cards were delivered, and it is fair to say that Year 3 truly made their day! 😊✨

What a wonderful example of kindness, gratitude, and recognising those who answer God’s call through their vocation 🙏✨

Year 1 had a fantastic time celebrating Vocations Week through an author and illustrator workshop today 🤩✨

The children enjoyed listening to Zog and the Flying Doctors, learning about the incredible work of real flying doctors from the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity 🚁💙✨

There was great excitement as they watched Axel Scheffler draw Zog and discovered more about the people who use their skills and talents to help others every day 🎨✨

What a wonderful opportunity to explore different vocations, be inspired by real-life heroes, and celebrate the many ways people can make a difference in the world 🌟🙏✨

Year 4 have had a fantastic Vocations Week, exploring a wide range of careers and learning about the many ways people use their gifts and talents to serve others 💙✨

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful guests who joined us both in person and online to share their experiences, inspire our children, and talk about their vocations 🤩✨

The children loved asking questions, learning about different career paths, and discovering how people respond to God’s call in a variety of ways 🙏✨

We are incredibly grateful for your time, support, and willingness to help inspire the next generation. Thank you for making this week so special for our children 💙✨

✨🌟 VOCATIONS • CAROUSEL 🌟✨

Year 6 loved taking part in our Vocations Carousel as part of Vocations Week 🤩✨

The children explored a range of exciting careers, taking fingerprints at the police station, bandaging patients as doctors, and designing and flying aeroplanes as engineers 👮🩹✈️✨

It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to develop new skills, ask questions, and discover more about different vocations and future career paths 💙✨

A fun-filled afternoon of learning, exploration, and inspiration for our Year 6 children 🌟✨

✨🎶 MUSICIAN • VISIT 🎶✨

Yesterday, as part of Vocations Week, Year 3 had the pleasure of meeting Liz, a talented freelance musician 🎼✨

Liz shared all about her vocation, explaining why music is so important to her and what inspired her career choice 🎵💙✨

The children loved singing together and were amazed by Liz’s beautiful flute performance, which brought so much joy to the afternoon 🎶🤩✨

A huge thank you to Liz for sharing her talents, experiences, and passion for music with our children. What a wonderful way to inspire our future musicians! 🎵✨

✨🌟 EXPLORING • VOCATIONS 🌟✨

Year 1 enjoyed exploring different vocations as part of our Vocations Week 🤩✨

Through learning about teachers, doctors, chefs, and priests, the children reflected on how God calls each of us to use our unique gifts and talents in service of others 👩‍🏫🩺👨‍🍳🙏✨

The children shared thoughtful ideas and began to understand how different vocations can help make a positive difference in our communities 💙✨

✨👮 POLICE • VISIT 👮✨

Year 5 had a very exciting afternoon with a visit to a police van 🚓✨

The children had the opportunity to sit inside the van, try on police uniforms, and even hold shields and handcuffs while learning more about the important role the police play in keeping our communities safe 👮🚨✨

There were lots of smiles, questions, and excitement throughout the visit, but the highlight for many was definitely hearing the sirens come to life! 🤩🚓✨

A huge thank you to our local Police Officers for providing such a memorable and engaging experience for our children 💙✨

✨💙 VOCATIONS • WEEK 💙✨

To celebrate the end of our Vocations Week, we are inviting all children to come to school on Friday dressed as their vocation or a job that inspires them 🤩✨

Throughout the day, children will be photographed in their chosen vocation, and the images will be used to create a special whole-school display celebrating the many ways people can use their gifts and talents to serve others 👩‍⚕️👨‍🍳👮‍♂️👷‍♀️🧑‍🏫✨

As part of this special day, we will also be raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young, a charity that currently has a strong and personal connection to a member of our school community 💙✨

Donations will be collected during registration on the day, and we are incredibly grateful for any support you can offer 🙏✨

✨💙 TAKEOVER • DAY 💙✨

Today, our Year 6 children stepped into the world of work and shadowed members of staff across the school for the morning 🤩✨

From teachers and teaching assistants to sports coaches, office staff, site staff, and catering teams, the children experienced first-hand the skills, responsibilities, and dedication needed to carry out a range of important roles 💙✨

It was wonderful to see them embracing new challenges, developing valuable life skills, and gaining an insight into different vocations and career paths 🧑‍🏫⚽🧑‍🍳🛠️✨

The children never cease to amaze us with their enthusiasm, confidence, and willingness to get involved, and today was no exception 😊✨

A fantastic experience and a memory that will stay with them for years to come. Well done, Year 6 — you made us proud! 💙✨
