What an exciting day at Maria's Home Childcare!!! 😍We played, we painted Easter eggs, we scratched our Easter Peppa Pig masks, we decorated the room and we waited our Easter bunny visit.
We had a wonderful time meeting Alice and the White Rabbit, having an excellent Easter egg hunt in the garden alongside our Snowy and eating few chocolate eggs.

What a wonderful start this year, with Good news and birthday parties. Slowly, we'll get into our routine and make sure to have fun learning and exploring amazing new and old places, hoping all the children will be healthy and happy. ♥️♥️♥️

1st of December -🇷🇴Romanian National Day🇷🇴-
As we are a bilingual setting, we have celebrated our National Day by painting with the primary colours, also the flag colours, by printing hands on Romania's map, by wearing traditional clothes, singing and dancing traditionals songs.

😱Halloween is coming! 😱We are all super excited and busy to play, 👻craft, 🕷 👾paint, 🖌🪦 colour 🎃🎨and decorate.🎃💀🥸☻️🦇

Another busy week full of trips, discovering and exploring amazing new and old places. The bus ride to the library, to pick new books and at the museum, for sensory playgroup session, where we had such a lovely fun time, was very exciting. We also been at the local playgroup, to our local parks and forest learning about Autumn season and what's happening with the nature, learning the numbers, counting leaves, collecting sticks and acorns and lots of play.🧡🧡🧡

Today we had such a lovely 🌤autumn day🍁🍂🍁. Walking👣 to the lake to feed the ducks 🦆, swans🦢, seagulls🦤 and lots of pigeons🕊. We play with the sticks, tree branches, leaves, acorns, running down and up the hills and we saw and fed lots of birds. Nature and happiness..pure happiness.🥰😍🧡❤

❤️ An Ode To A Childminder ❤️

There once was a childminder who lived in a shoe
But being professional, she knew what to do.
She made best use of the space that she could spare
And set up her home for family childcare.

She took CPR and First Aid classes, too
And brushed up on all the things that kids like to do.
She advertised, interviewed, contracted with glee
She counted the kids carefully—no more than three.

She fed them good meals and fresh fruit too,
She potty-trained Ben; helped Connor tie his shoe.
Collected art items and made a new batch of clay
And cut out cute pictures for a new theme’s display.

She changed, she bandaged, and she wiped every nose,
She comforted Amy when Murray stepped on her toes.
She cooked and she washed, scrubbing floors, scraping glue,
She recorded attendance; did her book keeping too.

She sent updates home about the kids in her care,
Gathered paintings etc, eager to share.
She read to the children while they sat on her lap,
And she sang to them softly when they started to nap.

She helped out at toddlers on a Halloween quest,
She spoon-fed the baby, then got him redressed.
She picked up and dusted when they went out the door,
She updated records, picked up toys, mopped the floor.

She started the laundry, checked the post, made a list
Of the shopping she needed and the chores that she’d missed.
She collapsed in a chair and put up her feet,
Then in came her family wanting something to eat.

She fed them all quickly, heard their stories, gave them hugs,
Then she rapidly washed up all the dishes and mugs.
As the family retired at the end of the day,
She got out some books to plan Mondays play.

She reflects on her day, in her eye there’s a gleam,
For this childminder is developing pride and esteem.
She works a long day and the hours aren’t fair,
But the kids that she works with get quality care.

Their parents commute to their worksites each day,
Concerns about childcare aren’t in their way.
They know that their children are loved and cared for,
By a childminder who plays, encourages and more.

If you live in a big house or even a shoe,
Great is the work that a childminder can do.
Be proud, stand up tall, wear a smile on your face,

What a wonderful time we had on this first week after my summer holidays. Children are happy to be back and to play with old and new toys, to discover new resources which will help them to improve their skills and creativity, to play with each other, to make meaningful memories. Trips to the park, to the forests, lots of time outside in the sunshine 🌞, water play and paddling pool...just having a lovely time.❤️

The last 2 weeks of sunny days brought us lots of energy and we spent most of our time outdoors developing positive relationships, fine and gross motor skills, communication and language throughout different games and activities.

We have been watching and waiting for couples of weeks our caterpillars turning into these beautiful butterflies. Learning the butterflies 🦋✨🦋️ life cycle. All the kids being feeling excited and sad at the same time releasing them back to nature.

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Party 2022 was a big success..with lots of fun and great activities.

What a wonderful day we had yesterday! A trip with the bus to the Easter trail 👣 and children workshop 🎭🖍📝 at Belgrade Plaza🏢..we help the Bunny 🐰 to find 👀all his carrots 🥕to have enough to be able to deliver his Easter basket 🧺🐇🐰🥚

What a wonderful time we have spend last Saturday at the Easter fair and what a nice and wild surprise we had..children were amazed by the animals, touching and stroking them...snake, turtle, spider, lizard, tree frog etc.
