"From the outset, all members of the Alliance were exceptionally supportive, and it was clear that they were genuinely invested in our success. Their openness made them highly approachable to seek guidance whenever needed. The chance to work alongside a variety of experts from a range of diverse school settings was particularly valuable, enabling me to synthesise different perspectives and teaching approaches.

The ITaP days were especially impactful and thoughtfully organised. Bringing together trainees from a variety of placements, these sessions created a collaborative environment to share ideas, discuss challenges, and learn from one another. As last years session was incredibly popular, we're very excited to host our 'Meet the expert: Dave Fountain' event 💹 for a second time, at Finham Park school on Monday 18th May 2026.

Dave will be speaking to teachers from schools across Coventry and Warwickshire about the 'Teachers Pension Scheme' - exploring the main features of the TPS which covers the current career average scheme (which is relevant to everyone). Dave will also be talking about the final salary scheme for those this is applicable to.

We're eager to improve understanding of teachers pensions considering how complex this area can be.

"I chose to train with the Lion Alliance after working at Finham Park School as a technician for a year. During that time, I was struck by the quality of their CPD and the professionalism of the staff, and I couldn’t imagine training anywhere else.

The Lion Alliance exceeded all expectations. The course was exceptionally well organised, and the communication and support were seamless. Teacher training is naturally intense and sometimes overwhelming, but the hospitality and clarity provided by the Alliance made the whole experience far more manageable. The mentors in school were phenomenal.

We had a fantastic opportunity this week to visit the new FINHAM PARK MULTI-ACADEMY TRUST offices (thank you to our lovely new Deputy CEO, Leah Adams, for the grand tour 🤩!

Funded by Coventry City Council 🩵, not only will the new site be able to house the fantastic team at the heart of the trust 💖, the investment means we're able to offer even more pupil places at one of our partner schools, Finham Park 2. This includes five new classrooms and enhanced sports facilities to support learning 🏫🎉.

It's a fantastic example of the long-term, sustainable vision for the trust; working with and for local families, the community and offering more student opportunities than ever before👦👧.
