Coventry City Council Elective Home Education

As we approach the end of another year, i know many of you will be continuing to EHE over the school breaks, others will be spending quality family time. Whatever you do, enjoy the good weather, don't get too down about the footie... Golf starts today! As always a huge thank you to all the families who i have met this year, for the countless cups of tea, baked treats and engaging conversation (and a big shout out to one young lady who made a beautiful key chain for me!). It's been a pleasure. Moving forward the service will look a little different so please bear with the LA if this page goes a little quiet for a while. Coventry Holiday Activities and Food Programme - HAF have a great programme this summer which we have secured for eligible families who are EHE in Coventry!

What activities are there?
Activities include: basketball, bushcraft, cheerleading, coding (video games, animated movies, Minecraft, robotics) cooking, cricket, dance camps, den building, dodgeball, drama workshops, engineering, face painting, football camps, forest school, girls-only activities, golf, gymnastics, dodgeball, ice-skating lessons, jewellery making, quad biking, laser quest, Lego, media training, parkour, swimming, STEM activities, tennis, trampolining, UV dodgeball, the Wave, yoga and more….☺

For eligible children who also have an Education and Health and Care Plan we have experiences at the Ash End Farm, British Motor Museum, Perkisound, Red Kangaroo, Spencer's Retreat, Twycross Zoo, Coventry Transport Museum, Coventry Outdoors.

Summer Holiday Booking Information:

With the Summer Holidays rapidly approaching, we are pleased to announce bookings will be live on Friday 3rd of July at 12pm!

We have lots of activities on offer this summer:
Stay and Play
Swimming
Forest School
Dance - provided by Off Balance Dance
Open Theatre

HAF bookings:
There are limited spaces available through Coventry HAF which can be booked via EEQU
Warwickshire HAF bookings will be available via the Ladybug Lodge website as normal on Friday 3rd of July

HAF goes live in 3 days! Free holiday and food clubs for young people in Coventry! If you meet the criteria for HAF, home educating families residing in Coventry can still access this provision. See the comments below for a link to the qualifying criteria!

The countdown is on! Bookings go LIVE on Thursday 18th June at 4pm 🌞⚽️🎭🎨🥁 Eligible children aged 4-18 can enjoy FREE activities and meals throughout the holidays. Link in comments.

If you'd like to know more about the AQA Unit Awards, please ask once we've sent the class over :-) (This bit is completely optional...basically you'll get a fancy certificate sent through the post from AQA once you have sent your work in)
