Last Thursday, Daisy class received a lovely surprise gift, ‘Elfie the Christmas Elf’! Hattie-Grace, Shaney-Ellis, Noah and Sam in year 9 have been working hard over the past few weeks to create a fantastic, sensory display picture. Daisy class enjoyed being able to feel the different textured materials and we love having Elfie up on the wall. Thank you so much!

The Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award, year 10 pupils and Post 16 students have collected and processed 2239 crisp packets to send to the Crisp Packet Project this half term in their volunteering section of the Award. In total this term we will have sent over 2500 packets which can make 8 waterproof bivvi bags that can each protect a homeless person from getting a wet sleeping bag overnight. Thank you to all of the parents and carers who have helped us collect the packets and please do keep collecting as the project continues next term.

On Friday of last week, Mrs Hartwell's English group performed an excellent dramatic retelling of the poem 'A Child's Christmas in Wales' by Dylan Thomas. It was a wonderful performance - thank you Year 10!

Year 14 visited The Good Food Show as part of their year 14 programme supporting skills for living and Hospitality. The Students had a great day and look who got to meet James Martin!

On 15th November, Year 11 and Post 16 attended Mock interviews.
We had several employers come into the school, who kindly gave up their time to interview our students.
We had a range of employers from Sertec, Zoe’s Place, National Grid, CWRT, a Financial advisor, The Office for Environmental Protection, and the NHS.
The students were amazing, although nervous initially, many were happy to see different employers and have 2 or 3 interviews to help them build their confidence and gain experience.
I had great feedback from the employers, they said the students were really engaged and they have all said they would be happy to come back to help with future career events.
Employers also commented on how much they gained from the experience and that it has helped them to understand more about Diversity and inclusion and the adjustments they may need to make for the interview process.
I am very proud of the way our students represented Exhall Grange School.

If any employers would like to help with future careers events or can offer work experience, please email: [email protected]
