Digging deeper in Semester 2 🌱

As we move towards the closure of Nexus and the vacating of Astoria House, we have begun sorting assets that are not currently been used for course delivery. These are now all listed and available for purchase through our dedicated assets site. 

As well as browsing yourself, please do share this link with any friends, churches, schools or organisations that you think might benefit. We’ve been so blessed over the years to acquire a large amount of incredible gear, and we hope it will continue to be a blessing for whoever purchases items.

New items will be added periodically so do check back to keep an eye on what is available.

It’s been a great year so far for inspiration!

It’s long been part of our courses here at Nexus ICA to bring in guest lecturers who build on the wealth of knowledge and experience our staff team provides.

This year we’ve been joined by some incredible musicians! and have all brought amazing insights from their respective corners of the industry and brought our students in on some really valuable creative experiences.

Most recently we had the wonderful .adorna join us to kick off the songwriters in their “Artistic voice” module. She shared what she’s learnt in her journey so far as an artist, how she’s developed her sound and how God has graciously opened doors throughout career.

Refreshers week 2026! ☀️

We had the incredible privilege of spending our Refreshers week in California. 
 
It was an amazing time of sightseeing, incredible music, volleyball, eating together(a lot!), praying together, worshipping together and overall building community and enjoying each others company! 

This trip was also tied into , a music convention where we have taken small groups of students to serve at the booth for many years now. This trip has been hugely impactful for our students in the past and this year was no exception!  

We’re so grateful to for facilitating this opportunity. Jack, Lily, Caleb, Archie and Matt did a fantastic job helping to set up and pack down the booth, record performances and help facilitate ‘Nord Night’! 

This year also very generously gave passes for all our students and staff on the trip! So we all had the unique opportunity to take in the NAMM show and enjoy all the incredible performances, new gear and weird and wonderful musical innovation. 

All of this made for an unforgettable way to mark the halfway point in our final year!

What a way to complete the legacy of Nexus ICA Christmas shows!

As many of you will know, putting together a concert in two weeks is a huge challenge and requires a lot of team work. This year, was no exception! With less time and fewer people, our students and staff really had to rally.

We’re so proud of the concerts they came together to make possible! They were full of beautiful, fun, joyful, creative and worshipful moments!

We loved getting to share them with you all and offer up a sound of rejoicing to Lord at Christmas together one last time!

We’ve had a great few days teching and running dress rehearsals this week! The show is really coming together, we can’t wait to share it with you!

We’ve had some really great opportunities over the last couple of months to gather, eat together, play games, pray and share testimonies.

A highlight was our encounter session a few weeks ago, marking World Mental Health Day. We spent the time in intentional prayer and thanksgiving together!
