A huge thank you to all the children for joining us at WWDC’s Holiday Club over the last five weeks. 💫

We have had such a fantastic time together, enjoying a wide range of fun and exciting activities, making new friendships, building confidence and developing so many new skills along the way. 🎨

It has been lovely to see everyone grow in independence, creativity, teamwork and self-confidence, while also enjoying the many benefits of being part of our Holiday Club community. 💛

We are incredibly proud of everything the children have achieved and the memories they have created with us. 🫶

WWDC Holiday Club - ‘Squidgy’ Painting 🎨

‘Squidgy’ painting is a fun, sensory activity where children use their hands and fingertips to push and move the paint in different directions underneath the cling film, joining and blending the colours across the paper.❤️💛💚🧡

It encourages creativity and exploration while developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and sensory awareness.🌈🫶

WWDC Holiday Club - Puffy Painting 🫟🎨

Children enjoyed exploring puffy painting, creating artwork while discovering different textures and sensations. 💜

As they squeezed, spread, and touched the paint, they developed their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and sensory awareness. ✋🏻👁️

Talking about the colours, textures, shapes, and patterns encouraged language development and communication, while describing how the paint felt helped build their vocabulary. 🫟

This creative activity also supported imagination, confidence, and self-expression through hands-on, open-ended play. 🫟🎨

WWDC Holiday Club - Mud painting🤎

Mud painting is a wonderful sensory activity that allows children to explore, create and express themselves freely. 🤎

The soft, squishy texture of mud provides rich sensory experiences through touch, smell and sight, helping children develop their sensory awareness and fine motor skills. 👁️👃🏻

Mixing, squeezing and painting with mud can also be calming and enjoyable, supporting emotional wellbeing and encouraging creativity. 🥄🖌️

Most importantly, mud painting gives children the freedom to experiment, make choices and enjoy the process without worrying about creating a “perfect” result.🤎
